Re: nevermind?

As my English is quite poor sometimes, I have another question: does "I dug some graves/ You’ll never find" mean "I have killed people & you will never find out" or could it also mean "I had to bury friends/ members of my family, but they are safe & you won't find t...

Re: The birds they Tweeted at break of day...

Its like a party in ma head between Fat Boy Slim and Leonard Cohen......And Cohen's on the decks right now(right here, right now) It's important to provide context when sharing Leonard Cohen with a loved one. Guess I'm gonna listen to this Leonard Cohen album all the kids are talking about. New Leo...

Re: Leonard Gets No More "Bad Reviews"

And just today I found three tweets that said his voice sounded like Cookie Monster.

I think Leonard, grandfather that he is, might find that pretty funny.

Re: Popular Problems - Various Chart Positions

Great news - why do people in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria have such superior taste to those here in the USA? Nevermind - what is #27? I see he also makes #50. I don't think it's a question of superior taste, I think it's a reflection of the way music is marketed and publicized in this ...

Re: Did I Ever Love You - "major misstep"?!

Did I Ever Love You, with all those pertinent questions, wondering whether it's ever over and whether 'we are still leaning across the old table' reminds me of another question he asked in one of my faves from Book of Longing: My time is running out and still I have not sung the true song the great...

Re: Almost like the blues in church (parody)

That has some funny moments. You have to love it when somebody uses a Leonard Cohen song to complain about bad lyrics.

Leonard Cohen makes everything better. Listened to Leonard Cohen's new album so many times I'm convinced I've a problem. Is there a support group anywhere? Re: Theology of Leonard Cohen

The other thing that's not altogether clear (to me) is: who exactly is saying the line "was our prayer so damn unworthy that the Son rejected it?" Is it the narrator (Leonard?) or is it the "you" he's talking to?

Re: Lady Gaga : a jazz signer

I bought this at the same time I bought Popular Problems... but I haven't unwrapped it tomorrow. Probably tomorrow, to sweeten the chores. So far I've only listened to PP when I wasn't doing any thing else at all. Lady Gaga seems to be enchanted by Tony Bennett not just because of his musicianship b...

You knew it would begin to happen again. Browns fans made a song called "The Ballad of Brian Hoyer" set to Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." I'm speechless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ns8gngxQ0Q#t=21 … Who'd have ever believed it was possible for Leonard Cohen to sing any slowe...

Re: Leonard's voice

I also don't think range is the most important thing. I think what one does within the range available is much more important. Unfortunately, alot of critics seem to miss the point. I think what he's doing within the range on the album is wonderful. My point is, I don't think the range on the album...
