Tom I agree with you that Alice and Blood Money are exquisite. The new CD is said to be a lot noisier, he exercised in his bathtub. Tom is playing 3 shows in Berlin and 3 shows in Amserdam in November. Prices start at 80 Euros and go to 150 Euro a ticket. People say it's worth it. So if you bring yo...

1.) It's from the spicebox and goes: An orchard of shore trees precise because of autumn etches its branches in the grey silk river The edge of the sky fills up with blue and soft sand A barge bearing lights like the leaning faces of motionless immortal sailors trails behind a cat o'nine tails made ...

That's nice, Kush and Lizzy ! You made me pick the guitar and create a new song (Leonard's poem - again): http://www.tea-and-oranges.de/mp3/anorchard.mp3 There is nothing precise or accurate or clean on it - I guess it's like me. Sorry, Kleinschmidt, that this went into a different direction, but yo...

Jeannie,

don't worry about my age. James and I are both 46, give and take a little, but we both look 46 and that is what matters.

How is Major Nelson doing these days ? I hope you still take good care of him and indulge him with your lovely surprises.

Dear Kleinschmidt thanks for the review - it is exactly how I remember it from NY - but I am one of those who have to wait and stand in the Queue on October 26 for to get this treasure. But to be honest I love to wait in my life and learn patience. I am a hunter for dates to look forward to. If I ha...

Jarkko, I got my card early but what happened next is simply tragedy. I noticed a grease spot on the card and I instantly knew who's to blame: The postman who always delivers mail with a Frankfurter in one hand. I told him about the card and he wanted me to show him. When I showed him he suddlenly g...

Roger Daltrey

I took that first solo LP called "Daltrey" from the shelf - always impressed by that powerful voice and these simple melodic songs and the beautiful strings. It's been a long rainy summer and the days have cooled down now. I worked hard and failed and I was just a boy. Eloquent I soon reti...

Dear Leonard, I was 16 and my mum was cutting my hairs, when suddenly "Lover, lover, lover" started on the radio. My feet began to dance with the rhythm and my mum said "Don't move" ! I am 46 now and my hairs are gone but I still feel that combination of elaborating mother hands ...

Hi Kush,

the Stephen Foster Tribute contains songs by John Prine and Grey deLisle - sounds interesting to me.

Walk on is the only John Hiatt CD I have - it's nice - didn't fall for it though.

I am waiting for the new Giant Sand CD and Thalia Zedek CD. I am sure they will top my September playlist.

Thank you, Lizzy, for the nice and gentle comments on my contributions to the NY event both here and on the NY event page. It feels good to read. As you are an incredible writer anyways. I definitely want you to review the Berlin event so bring all your notebooks. In a very short of time Jarkko will...

Hello Jason, of course, our musical spectrum is a broadway - but I never been into hard rock that much. I remember arguing with my long-haired hippie friends that a drum solo can't be called music because you can hardly hear a melody. Little did I know then. But I was on the cohen track already and ...
