Re: CONCERT REPORT: Dublin, September 11th and 12th 2013

I knew that the Dublin concerts would be exceptional –  Leonard and his Irish fans have a thing for each other 8)

Thank you to all who have posted reviews here, as well as photos and videos.

Extra special thanks to Gwen, Albert and FanforLife, for warming my evening.

Re: Cars and L.C.

I think there's a poem in the Book of Longing that refers to:

'...a noble young woman/ who unfastened her jeans/ in the front seat of my jeep...'

In contrast to this bulk of clothing and personality, a thin, stringy line elegantly describes the seams of his jeans....

Re: Couple in a Restaurant

Fishies and earthquakes are the least of Mr Mayor's problems today. Glad it was only a mild earthquake Cate... isn't it really unusual to have earthquakes on the east side of Canada? Quebec had one today as well. Stay safe and please try to rescue Fish from Rob before it's too late (Edit: Corrected ...

Re: Couple in a Restaurant

Into this furnace.... Jimmy's poem evoked a couple drowning in ennui. With nothing left to say to each other, they focus their attention on the most banal of dining circumstances. Re: Beautiful Losers?

Hello Cate and Tchoco,

Cate wrote:
My father read me Johnathan Living Seagull when I was very young and told that to keep reading it through my life as I'd see different aspects of it each time I read it.
I read The Old Man and The Sea every year, for the same reason.
