Re: Brighton concert

Oh blimey. Good point. Cheers. I don't think of it as my vine though, and I don't know the best way to start organising it. Does anyone have experience of such things, and can take over the organisation of it? An early copy from me direct to the first volunteer! As you are in the UK (I think?) perh...

Re: RIDICULOUS!

This is looking incredibly like the Manchester Opera House farce where those who were quickest (made the pre-sale before everything went in this case) got tickets at the back of the gallery, the rest got nada. Concert for fans???? Anything but from what I can see.

Re: Summary of pre-sale

Never mind, there are plenty of tickets available on eBay already!

This time last year I wouldn't have hesitated to pay $850 for a VIP ticket in row B but I'm skint now. Hey ho.

Re: Summary of pre-sale

Hey, I am new here and dont mean to be a jerk and maybe jarkko can clear this up but it seems that the presale tickets are already sold out and gone. Yes i was just on another site where 2 guys had guessed the password at noon and said they got tickets. I tried the password and it worked but no tic...

Re: A Very Special Announcement Coming

How exciting! Jarkko has set up a whole new section on the Forum!

I have to join a conference call at 3.00 pm UK time. Will I be concentrating on the subject at hand? What do you think?!

Calling Jarkko / moderators: Please [re?]move these posts *) from this thread. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but these comments have nothing at all to do with the topic in hand and have no place here. They spoil what has otherwise been an exciting, fun and good natured thread. Wendy *) P...

Should they cover their ears on Monday?? This made me laugh IrishMar. When I first saw the tour announcement (I was a r...

Re: A Very Special Announcement Coming

The announcement will include another moment (not on Monday), when those who want to make use of the "thing" in the best possible way should be on their computers. Aaaghhhh .......... Monday morning I can do but I am travelling for much of next week (much of the rest of January in fact) with restri...

Re: A Very Special Announcement Coming

Maybe it's the launch of the Leonard Cohen Official Bootleg Series - collectors' sets of all the concerts in the 2008 tour a la Allmans Brothers Band (http://www.hittinthenote.com/cart2/c-122-2008.aspx), CDs and DVDs available to order separately or in sets. After all, why bother to record /film all...

I am curious Jarkko: do you suggest this as a courtesy (which I would 100% support) or is this confirmation that Leonard retains the rights to the song and will benefit from the current UK chart battle in line with UK press comment?

Re: Campaign: Get Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah in the UK charts!

Just watched a long item about the song on the Channel 4 news, which had clips of Leonard from Songs from the Key of Life and reading poetry, plus clips of Jeff Buckley and Alexandra and interviews with a 94-year old fan who'd been at the RAH show, a radio DJ and a pundit who illustrated the minor f...

Re: Hallelujah on UK X-Factor (all threads merged here)

There are two places you can download his version from, where it counts towards the official UK chart. These are: Play.com (65p) : http://www.play.com/Music/MP3-Download-Track/4-/6760677/Hallelujah/Product.html?aid=6760034 HMV.co.uk : (69p) http://hmv.com/hmvweb/digitalProductDetails.do?ctx=7000050...
