Re: Manchester meet ups

Sorry I thought you were going to hang about in hotel lobbies for 4 days ?
Manchester has so much more to offer.
Go down to United and look at the trophy room.

Re: Manchester meet ups

Well we all know where LC is staying but he last thing he needs is people hassling him over breakfast etc.
You do your job i.e. be an audience member and let him do his.

Re: Manchester meet ups

Nearest pub is Vera's around the corner, owned by Vera Duckworth. Bridge Street , a street that follows up from the Kings (cross main street, few mins toward Deansgate on right), has the Mark Addy , plenty of room to meet, a riverside pub and less than 10 mins from the Opera House, also near Salford...

A plea to audiences

Please let the guy sing. He doesn't need flowers, yelps, clapping between each chorus, screeching etc. Or is this just North American audiences ? I was listening to a recent Dylan show where somebody keeps shouting 'I know you can hear me Bob, sing Shooting Star'...what a plank. Let the old boys sing.

Re: Manchester shows

Not sure how you can blame Ticketmaster. You were on the PC 2 hours before, when they were not on sale and 2 hours after, when they had sold out.
If you had got your ass in gear and tried at 1000 for 20 minutes you would have got tickets.

The Big Chill 2008

Used to be a nice little quirky festival,a few thosadnd like minded folk......now it's gone commercial and caters for 35000...way too big.
