Re: Leonard was our Special Guest at the London meetup

We've just booked tickets for something at the Green Note. On their website - they have Leonard as one of the "wonderful musicians who have graced the Green Note stage over the years..."!!!

Happy memories.....

Hilde Zaremba

Hilde Zaremba, aged 90 years, sadly passed away a few weeks ago. For many years Hilde was a very big admirer of Leonard's work, and she requested that "Closing Time" be played at her funeral which will take place tomorrow. Some years ago, Hilde made Leonard a beautiful tapestry of a music score. Leo...

Re: The Best Leonard Cohen Concert of all time.

For me it was one of the concerts in the early 1980s (possibly late 70s) at the Hammersmith Odeon. A small group of us sat in the aisle and by the stage (in those days you weren't ejected by bouncers!). If I remember correctly, he had Greek musicians in his band. It was my first concert. There was a...

Re: Other less publicized Leonard Cohen Dates- The Secret List

Michael - How could you do such a mean thing to Jarkko? Sorry Mickey - I gave my spare ticket to Jarkko. Thank you for admitting to breaking the Law. I had no option but to throw Jarkko in the Hydra Harbour. He remains there with his friend, Bob. O2 Front Row RAH On the Stage Vatican City 75th Row L...

Re: London RAH, 17-18 November 2008

Miia is right. Let's try to be as open-hearted and open-minded as our beloved Leonard is and forgive each other for being just humans - and we all feel much better! Miia Miia - thank you for this. I had a wonderful afternoon meeting with new and old friends - and a truly wonderful evening at the Ra...

Re: Other less publicized Leonard Cohen Dates- The Secret List

Which reminds me...what IS with all the oriental rugs onstage?? I am sooooo afraid of someone tripping, I haven't been able to go to any concerts since July. ;-) Ahh....so someone has finally spotted Padma's gift to Leonard. I guess that her bathroom is looking pretty bare these days. ray (there's ...

Re: Other less publicized Leonard Cohen Dates- The Secret List

Am I really the only one going to the Vatican City gig. There has been no discussion of the gig on the Forum and for this I blame Jarkko who has been far too busy eating curry in Brick Lane instead of attending to his highly paid contractual obligations on this website I created so many years ago. ...

It's walkable from Liverpool Street station. Google a map! I am totally hopeless with anything techie so can't offer to attach a map. Maybe when Michael gets off the ice-rink, he might be able to help?

Re: RAH TICKETS - ANYONE GOT THEIRS, OR ANY INFO?

Padma, I left yours in the bathroom. Jarkko, I regret to inform you that you have been banned from attending. Michael - Tyler's nicked my ticket and done a bunk! Do you think the sneak has sold it on to Jarkko? Henning has just told me that Jarkko has a dastardly (is that how you spell it?) plan to...
