A Relationship Is Like a House

A Relationship Is Like a House A relationship is like a house— it has to be able to provide shelter for its cohabitants. It must have a strong foundation; solid, sturdy and stable, firm, durable, and healthy; it must be unyielding, even against the most unforgiving economic crises of the heart. It m...

Babylon the Great

Babylon the Great Babylon the Great, with night in your eyes Look upon the wise souls of kings and men Whose minds dissipate, for sin in disguise Will challenge them to marvel or condemn. With hearts to negate ride between your thighs A beast with heads of seven, horns of ten. Abomination of the ear...

Sexes [version II]

Sexes OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO “Suddenly out of its stale and drowsy lair, the lair of slaves, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Like lightning it le’pt forth half startled at itself, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Its feet upon the ashes and the rags, its hands tight to the throats of kings.” OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO --Walt Whitman, Europ...

What Goes Down...

What Goes Down…

An ode to corporate bureaucracy.

Shit rolls downhill.
But the stink rises.
And when people
at the top
ask, Who farted?,
well, as the old saying goes,
“It shall follow
that he who hath first smelt it
hath indeed dealt it.”

Re: Sexes

There have been quite a few editions of Leaves of Grass . I own a conglomerated copy that is subtitled as "First and 'Death-bed' Editions." Which means, it has the original version, which is only actually a handful of (very, very long) poems. Then there's the "death-bed" edition, which is ENORMOUS. ...

Re: Sexes

I always wondered how Walt Whitman felt it necessary to make edits and re-arrange some of his epic poems. I mean, reading through them is different from trying to write them. If you ever looked at some of the differences (additions, ommissions, rephrasing, changing punctuations, etc.) it's hard to u...

Re: Sexes

I can't seem to figure out the BBCode well enough to correctly place lines and make indentations and align the Roman numerals in the center as well as the opening quote. If anyone could help me with this I'd be able to fix this the way it was intended to be read. Thank you.

Re: Day For Night

Ah, Geoffrey, I hope they had some inflated refreshments in the Interim Room. Sorry to make you wait so long. No, actually, not really. Provocation? Okay, you win. But I wouldn't be so haste in ravenously devouring all the credit. I get more provoked from Lady Gaga. She sure is sexy. That is my offi...

Re: Day For Night

Well here's one of the "old sentimental biddies" to give his "two-a-penny" energy, excitement and innovasion to p-p-p-pokyerface with: A MIDDLE FUCKING FINGER! Daring, outspoken, controversial, dynamic? Have I got your attention? "This isn't music, and we're not a band We're five middle fingers on a...

Re: Day For Night

I don't think so. I mean, I cannot recite this to myself without an accompanying blues riff. I have a song mapped out in my head, but I haven't picked up an instrument let alone record what I do with it in a very long time. Perhaps... one day. Never say never. ;-)
