What to wear?

Having never seen Cohen live before I'm unsure how to answer this question for a friend who is considering not going. Might be my fault for telling her I was getting out my best LBD for the show I'm going to - now she doesn't want to go because she says she has nothing nice enough to wear and no mon...

Re: Ballad of the Absent Mare

This is one of my favorite Cohen songs, I'd love to hear him do it live and in person. The only live recording I've heard of this song was played at a party I went to many years ago, and it was a live bootleg cover by Nanci Griffith. Oh how I've wished to hear that one again, but I didn't know the p...

Re: Leonard Cohen and Ticketmaster

Most of the tickets that go straight to TicketsNow, and are never offered for sale on TicketMaster, are owned by Season Ticket and Season Box holders. I don't think most people understand that some seats are owned for every show at a venue, and are never offered to the public. As a season ticket hol...

Re: Seattle Tickets

Just a suggestion - http://www.pikebrewing.com The Pike Pub is north up the street from the venue and since it is a restaurant in addition to pub & brewery they allow minors. You can reserve large tables in advance, or if no minors are present sit at the bar. They make my favorite beer there, a very...

Re: Leonard Cohen Concert in Grand Prairie, Texas

The tickets for sale before the official on-sale time are usually being sold by season ticket holders for those venues. As a season ticket holder you get, depending on your contract, either automatic tickets for your seats (or box) for every event, or first dibs on ticket purchases for events, befor...

Re: $250 tickets?

My husband and I both tried as soon as tickets went on sale, on different computers with separate accounts to get tickets in the Pit section for the Grand Prairie show, and the best we could get were sections 101 or 105. We tried several times and decided to go with the 105 tickets. I don't think an...

Re: Cohen Art Show and Philip Glass concert in Claremont CA

Does creative talent in one sphere spill over to the next? Could Picasso sing? My mother was very talented, she was a music teacher who could play any instrument she picked up, composed music, wrote poetry and songs, and she insisted there is no such thing as talent - only hard work and practice. S...

Re: Seattle - April 23

When I first saw he had a date set for Seattle I was hoping it would be at the Paramount. So sad to see it's at WaMu but I plan to be there anyway. Maybe the sound will be better than I'm thinking it will, no matter, it will still be a great show.
