Re: 2008 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

That would be great wouldn't it? i just read yankovich's post about the other famous folk singers like joan Baez (i am shcoked), judy Collins and peter, paul and mary not already being in The Hall of fame. As much as i love leonard Cohen i also agree with him that they should have been in there befo...

Re: 'I'M A HOTEL"

This is sad; I am answering my own post. I am so curious about this film and as i said i did see videos on Youtube. one was about "Suzanne' and the other "Memories" I loved them both and i loved the idea of them being part of a movie. Plus leonard looks great!. I would be interested to know what oth...

Re: 2008 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

So far the Rock and Roll hall of Fame hasn't asked for my opinion of who should induct Leonard Cohen, but if they did I would highly recommend Judy Collins! They have a long shared history and it was through Judy Collin's Suzanne that i first became familiar with Leonard Cohen in 1968!

Re: A Thousand Kisses Deep .. my qualified interpretation

Wasn't this song "A thousand Kisses Deep" actually written in 1995 six years before it was released on TNS? I find the comments on the Budhist interpretation of this song interesting but thinking maybe the song is being overanalyzed.

Re: I'm Your Man Trailer makes teenagers laugh hysterically

I agree with the comment about Elvis doing "If It be your Will" Like "Crying In the Chapel" but not. As for Antony I love his cover of this song but is he kind of "Joe Cocker like' And for some of the comments about leonard Cohen in "I'm your man" I don't quite get what Bono is saying. And i agree w...

'I'M A HOTEL"

I have seen two videos on Youtube from this short film by leonard Cohen and am wondering is it available.? I really enjoyed what I saw; very creative and entertaining. I loved "Memories" and the clip of leonard dancing through the double doors after the two lovers.

Re: Cohen/Dylan dichotomy

There definetlyare comparisons to Dylan and Cohen. Both started as poets then became folk singers. Then each one evolved their music and and remained relevant with their music and lyrics. Both are creative geniuses and both of their voices became deep and seasoned with time
