I probably am one of those people whom you think wouldn't say boo to a goose. But that's really not it. It is very apparent to the lurkers like me (that don't post) that there IS a mutual admiration society. If you join in the ego-massaging all is well. I don't think that those on the inside really ...

Amen. It's the mutual admiration society that is destroying this board! It is boring to read over and over how wonderful the select few are. How wonderful their posts are. If anyone dares exhibit a sense of humor they are trashed as being mean. I love Vesuvius and most of the time Partisan. I even l...

I agree with Midnight. I don't believe there is a person on this forum who hasn't posted under another alias at one time or another. What about it George? Admit it.

To tell you the truth I got a queasy feeling when I read the words and saw the picture of Leonard in the Star Trek uniform. My first thought was, "Heaven's Gate." Of course, I immediately rejected that thought. (But who knows what new guru he's gotten hold of now.) And then it could all just be a hu...

I know many people think Leonard looks like Dustin Hoffman...but I just don't see it! To me, they look completely different. Dustin is rather plain...while Leonard is EXTRAORDINARY. But come to think of it.. when I was watching Rasky's film, I thought Leonard looked like Ratso Rizzo in a couple of p...

I always have trouble understanding what people mean when they say that Leonard is handsome. Esthetically speaking, he isn't. I mean, if a woman's features are not arranged in a specific way nobody goes around saying she is pretty or beautiful.

That said, I love the way Leonard looks! :D

I dug out my old copy of The Spice-Box of Earth. There is a poem called Absurd Prayer where he writes about "carrion soul". Absurd Prayer I disdain God's suffering. Men command sufficient pain I'll keep to my tomb Though the Messiah come. Though He summon every corpse To throng the final Throne, One...

Interesting discussion. With the clue from Kush on Zin being an actual place described in the Torah, I discovered it is mentioned in the fourth book of Moses; Numbers 20:1 "The people of Israel arrived in the Zin desert during the first month and set up camp near the town of Kadesh. It was there tha...

I like the poem but I didn't see it the same way the others did. Did you mean to be be amusing? It seemed to be a commentary of Leonard's spiritual journey. And not a positive view.

Thank you Paula for this post. And you have given very good advice. I have been reading through a lot of the threads and I find it all very interesting, even the "loud" threads.

I chose Moonlight because I thinks it is so evocative of Leonard Cohen's music. At least to me it is.
