Re: Leonard to play in Sligo!!

totally agree with comments above, it becomes very unpleasant if you really need to deliberate before leaving a message in case you cause annoyance so it would be great if this thread could continue

As shown in the photo(the main entrance to Lissadell) there could be serious issues with traffic. I'm sure the fact that there's several months planning should ensure that it all falls into place, let's hope

Re: Accommodation for Sligo

It's very unfortunate if people are struggling to get accommodation. You could go a little further afield ie: it's 25 miles from Lissadell House to the Carlton Hotel in Belleek and you're situated just beside the world famous Belleek pottery. I see it still has rooms http://www.bedandbreakfast-direc...

Re: Presale to Sligo

Gerry- The situation with the house is quite confusing for a stranger. I assumed you couldn't access the grounds at all and was surprized to see other cars driving it. Presumably the Forestry dept owns some of the land which still has public access. It's a really beautiful place

Re: Accommodation for Sligo

The Clarion's a beautiful hotel well within walking distance of the town centre. I called there on Sunday and was very impressed.

Re: Presale to Sligo

There's a great little coffee shop at the Churchyard where Yeats is buried, there's the remains of a tower , an ancient cross, the riverside walk which i photographed the children running down and the beautiful church. It's a great place to stop off and the cakes are beautiful.I'd recommend it. Re: Presale to Sligo

I've enclosed a link to some photos i took in Sligo today. The Garavogue is great and couldn't be any more central. Whoever chose the b&b opposite the entrance to Lissadell House was very clever.I can only assume that most people will have to be bussed in- it's a really beautiful area. http://www.fl...

Re: My first time...

Thank you very much for all the kind comments. It was a pleasure to photograph Leonard although i photographed a wedding in Southern Ireland the day before and it was pretty exhausting.I had a reasonable seat to the left and on tiered seating. I love the ones where he skipped on and off stage and th...

Re: Presale to Sligo

Lets face it who needs savings, food or clothing (apart from official merchandise of course) Too true, oh how I agree. I bought block A tickets for Saturday, booked accommodation and then came home from work today to realize there was a Sunday concert. After countless searches i got tickets in bloc...

Re: PRESALE to SLIGO on April 24-26

Yes , Block A is flat Seating and Block B directly behind it is tiered. I don't understand the double letters - i.ie. Row A-JJ or even tripe J. It was frustrating on ticketmaster but a friend of mine cliked on Block a to be told none available so got block b. Then later as in a good 5 mins later we...

Re: PRESALE to SLIGO on April 24-26

I got thrown out of the system several times at the verification stage but finally got block a row h,42-43. The system couldn't be good for your blood pressure, I found myself rocking to and fro during the waiting period.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible

Re: PRESALE TO SLIGO on APRIL 22

The Clarion seems like the largest hotel- would it be speculative to think Leonard may stay there. Prices are still very reasonable
