Re: Fire

And so, ask not what your investments can do for you. Ask what you can do towards such investments. Yesterday is now, but a cancelled check; tomorrow is but a promissory note; But, today, today is the only cash you have - so invest it wisely.

Re: Fire

Time is free, but it is incalculable, rare. You can't possess it, but you can embrace it. You can't conserve it, but you can invest in it. Once depleted, it is lost, forever spent. Don't be trapped by dogma. Apply your own inner voice. Follow your heart and mind's intuition. For, all else is but sec...

Re: Consequences of this Fortuitous Meeting

"After a day of worry, Pacification and rage I lay sleepless Anxiety coiling in my muscles" Waking up to weeks Without you Wearing Time's scars and Your distance Like an outcast lepor" Who still feels the phantom weight Of your leg over my thigh And the warmth of your hand Pulling away from my hip. ...

Re: Weakest of Threads

Piqued in extreme silence Behind the safety of my gaze Something of my spirit dislocates As I analyze the tortured landscape Grafted from some other reality Ghosted over, frail, vulnerable In that paltry, contemptible air Time held in frozen abstractions Captured as in a still life painting Eyes obs...

Re: Weakest of Threads

…an edge of chill haunts from a distance as each vivid image is viewed in the mind. And I try to discern something, a wish perhaps or hope that they may find some secret device to hold on to in their confined space. That it might redefine their day, as they find release from that frozen state.

Re: Weakest of Threads

Usually a disaster is defined by a community's ability to cope, not by the magnitude of the event. When these coping capacities are overwhelmed, as in Haiti's case, the best decisions are made by individuals closest to the suffering. The will of an individual, their free will, exercised most directl...

Weakest of Threads

Benevolence and prayers go out to all those affected by the overwhelming devastation in Haiti. I've been watching the news steadily, shaking my head in awe at the images of mass destruction. The displacement of so many people who are now challenged with the daunting task of mere survival, as they gr...

Small Epiphanies Errupt

I let the dove go, it returned with a word. The silence receded, sounding unheard… At the periphery, yield to the pulse of longing. Energy raised to an nth degree, alights truths in whispers. Go placidly amid such truth, deafen the noise, the haste. Let loose your spirit in this immaculate, holy spa...

A Graceful Sweep

Cohen so intensely stokes the souls fire. Words profoundly dance gracefully sweeping the multitudinous worlds of human emotions. Altruistically they pirouette not here, nor there but everywhere. Surely we cannot afford to ignore such an omnipresent human voice in the context by which he so generousl...

Imperceptible Treasure

Of Cohen: His music, his prophetic verse swirls upon the tongue like wine. It affects, arouses, comforts, consoles, elates, elevates, encourages, exalts, excites, exhilarates, fortifies, imbues, incites, informs, infuses, inspires, inspirits, motivates, rouses, stirs, touches, uplifts, upraises, war...

In According the Quill…

In according the quill a continuance, a fluidity or flux across the blank page, we too begin to flow very similarly in both mind and spirit, tinged with an ambience and ethereality. In simply applying a slight pressure to the quill, by capillary action it is willed to acquiesce, scribing a word, lin...
