Re: "Leonard Cohen Live in London" > DVD & 2CD (April 2009)

I have ordered the Isle of Wight DVD/CD from Amazon and it is due to arrive in my hands somewhere around January 10th.
I can hardly wait!

You're so right!
But it goes like this, when we think of 2010: "Wish I were there... and hope I'll be there!"

In this case, I think it does not matter who takes the no.1 spot - it's the force of our group that counts, and the invisible threads which link us all to him for life.

"The holy books are open wide/ The doctors working day and night/ But they'll never find that cure for love/ There ain't no drink nor drug (Ah, tell them angels)/ There's nothing pure enough to be a cure for love" and optimistic me, of course, my alltime favourite: "There's a crack in everything Tha...

Indeed you are right, sturgess. We tried our best, all of us, in all cities - just to show him and the band our love and enthusiasm. But San Jose still remains one of a kind!
It also opens "new frontiers" for next year's shows, doesn't it?

Re: Krakow Event Registration

I see the list has crossed the 50% line - that is just wonderful. Hope that all 300 places will be taken - I want to see as many of you Cohenites next year in Krakow!

And... what about Hydra... any ideas for 2010, even in smaller numbers?

Re: Hotels for Krakow 2010?

Just a couple of questions regarding the hotels, dear organizers. Is there a deadline for making hotel reservations? I mean, it is too early yet - so I was thinking of doing it sometime next year. And do the suggested hotels have enough places for all 300 of us (as presumed by the fan list)? Thanks,...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: San José, Nov 13

What a spectacular show! Congrats to all Cohen fans for making the American Tour such a success! You, American friends, really know how to have fun! (Imagine Europe doing it? :( Naah... too bad us Europeans are so conservative...) Pity I only saw it through your eyes (and YouTube excerpts), but you ...

Just great, Allan, and thanks for this brilliant idea! CPD means being healthy in mind and soul - and let's not let the Post CPD syndrome come for many years from now! :D

You really have made me very happy - and proud to be "suffering"!

What a wonderful song! I love it!
Did he actually say "(I) Feel so Lonely" ? I seem to have caught it this way.

Nice post, Tinderella... I think it has been the same for many of us around the world. Well, it is so nice to be back here - to think of all the evenings when I was so tired I could barely speak... but I received all news from everyone so eagerly! Thank you Jarkko for such wonderful news - I haven't...

Re: The Krakow Event: Tour to Auschwitz/Birkenau

Tomorrow (October 9) is Holocaust Remembrance Day in Romania. Our own Yom HaShoah . The official decision was taken in 2004, and it was set in memory of the thousands of Jews and gypsies deported in 1941 from the kingdom of Romania (which included the provinces of Moldova, Walachia and the southern...

Re: The Krakow Event: Tour to Auschwitz/Birkenau

To me, from my cultural position, death-camp tourism is the most disgusting and disrespectful form of voyeurism imaginable. Who said anything about " tourism "?!?!?!? Apart from Hydriot - who indeed is entitled to have his own opinions and stick to them, as we all do - did anyone here have this wor...
