Lizzytysh, you are right. It does help to think back and remember good events in our lives. It's a great coping mechanism. 8)

Opinion: the posts were criticizing me for using a "mimic" name, and I merely pointed out that I'm not the only one using an unreal name.] Excuse me again. Others may have an "unreal name, true, but you chose one mimicing a member's name. There's a difference in an "unreal name/penname and choosing...

Fraud, of course I know that "Freud" is not his real name. I'm not stupid. Just as I know your real name isn't "Fraud" or "Ceetoo". ANd just as I know that "Lady Midnight" (who recently joined) or "Contant Sorrow" isn't their real names either. Your point doesn't make sense. And I don't care if Youn...

Fraud, I consider myself a friend of Lizzytysh (though we would disagree about almost everything :) ) But I also don't consider YdF to be the boogyman you say he is. Why is it that Young Dr. Freud is "abusive"? I don't think he is full of "hatred". He's really funny most of the time. You are the tru...

Fraud, I have a suggestion. Please learn to post a link correctly. You mess up the thread when you link incorrectly. You make the rest of the page difficult to read. Thank you.

Noah Webster was the son of an American settler, and those people were ignorant riff-raff deckhands who had run off to sea because they had not the education to be employed in England as architects or lawyers... If an illiterate Neil Armstrong had settled on the Moon and started a family he might h...

Linda, Lizzytysh, Some of the Police officers might need some rest. Those that didn't turn tail and run. But Las Vegas? Bright Lights, gambleing, Showgirls, Fun City, Sin City, etc. etc. "Let's send them to Las Vegas", the city that is open 24 hours a day. That doesn't make sense. Sounds like a junk...

Lizzytysh, I'm sorry your computer isn't working. Mine does the same thing sometimes. I read today in the New York Times that the Mayor of New Orleans is sending most of the Police Officers of New Orleans to Las Vegas. For FIVE DAYS! Las Vegas! He wants them to have a vacation. Why? Because they are...

You know LIzzytysh, I like you but I just don't understand you. You seem to hate the South and yet you choose to live there. You lose no opportunity to criticize Southerners. Texas? "Land of the lily-white Bush"? That's a state that is largely Hispanic. You criticize Bush? Yet you do not lay the bla...

Mirek, I remember those days of the Solidarity Movement. We here in America thought the Polish people very brave in their revolt against the Soviet overlords. There was much concern by the average man and woman here over the fate of Poland. I remember that my parents put a candle in the windows of o...

It's such nonsense all the reporting in the news that somehow this is racist America at work. For those who live outside the U.S.A. -- New Orleans is 70 percent Black/African American. The police force is 60 Percent Black/African American. The Mayor of New Orleans, The Chief of Police, the City Coun...

Lizzytysh, It's incredible to think that a city the size of New Orleans is so devastated. And Biloxi is gone. Just wiped off the map. Unbelieveable.

Flots, first you write that you think we are spiteful, viscious, backbiters. (I think everyone is straightforward) Then you state that members need to go for the throat. That their posts are savage but polite. That's nuts and contradictory. (You should see the Hell for War thread) Which is the point ...

Yes, I agree Laurie. "Volume of nonsense" and "melodramatic overload" describes it very well. One would think that Leonard was living in a cardboard box in L.A. to hear all the wailing that's going on. Yes, Leonard was betrayed but he seems to have had a hand in his own betrayal. Fljotsdale, Snow, S...
