Re: CONCERT REPORT: New York City, April 6 & 7, 2013

No, I wasn't in Radio City incognito, but my good friend from NYC was there with her hubby. It was their 1st LC concert and this is what she emailed me last night on the way home: Wow!!! What a treat for the heart and the soul!!! Three standing ovations! He came back twice. Amazing guy! What an arti...

Re: CONCERT REPORT - Louisville, KY - March 30, 2013

Every once in a while there is a concert that capture people's souls deeper than the usual (very deep) level. Louisville definitely qualifies. Magic Powder/ Secret Sauce that makes it memorable long after it's gone. Thanks all for the reviews, like Bev, I agree that they make following the tour from...

Re: the avalance fingerpicking

Ive been practicing this technique for years, but using three fingers and thumb. I dont know if it is at alle possible to play it fast enought with three fingers and thumb to get the flowing avalance style Peter Now you have me second guessing myself. When he started this song, I remembered your to...

Re: CONCERT REPORT - Louisville, KY - March 30, 2013

First off, speedy recovery wishes to Roscoe. I look at the intimacy of this leg's venues with much admiration. The Palace's sound seems to be impeccable given the distance from the stage "stilli cling" shot the vids from. Old world acoustics ftw. Watching LC stopping 'Closing Time' twice (!) right o...

Re: Sad news: Arlene Dick has passed away

After my last post here yesterday, I managed to finalize my goodbye words to Arlene. I do not wish to occupy more space on this thread, so for those interested, you can read it via FB http://on.fb.me/XOUcJW or directly on my blog http://bit.ly/YeoZ29 One comment about CampCohen's Shabbat Shalom phot...

Re: Sad news: Arlene Dick has passed away

My dear Friends, While I have been untypically unable to finalize & post my own words for Arlene, I want you to know I shared your beautiful and moving words with her family. They were accepted with admiration and deep appreciation, allowing them a glimpse into how loved and meaningful she was for s...

Sad news: Arlene Dick has passed away

Dear friends, With tears in my eyes and deep pain in my heart I am writing you that Arlene has passed away tonight in Los Angeles (local afternoon of March 13). She wasn't very well recently, but she kept her famous spirits up. In his email her son wrote " Coincidentally or not, I happen to be playi...

Leonard Cohen Narrates Film on The Tibetan Book of the Dead,

I got this from a good friend and thought you might find it interesting too. It's from 1994 and features the Dalai Lama. Some of you may have know about this film - it was news to me. The film is cut into two 45 minute segments that are embedded in this article: http://bit.ly/Z6sl7N Springy regards ...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Brooklyn, New York - December 20, 2012

Talk about stretching out "better late than never" ;-)..... : Riding the train from Manhattan to Barclays Center JayZ style was as easy as it was on his clip - I hopped on the 5 express train at Union Square and some 14 minutes later found myself facing the arena. The place is new and spotlsess, the...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: New York City, NY - December 18, 2012

I planned to write a report and post some vid links as soon as I was back home, but some family affairs forced me to put everything aside till now. Well, better late than never, so here goes: Some tend to call New York City an Israeli colony, well, whether one agrees with that or not, it proved righ...

MSG gave LC and band a very warm welcome. Fantastic night with wonderful energies and LC and band in great spirits -- he did some cute schticks on the keyboard during ToS (hope someone got it on tape..) More thoughts and vid links later on. Dick, sorry to have missed you- will look for you tomorrow ...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Montreal,Quebec - November 28th & 29th,2

It's little surprise that Montreal's homecoming was that fabulous, yet it's heart broadening to read it was that warm. 'La Manic' is such a gem. Totally wouldn't mind LC one day records a whole album of French Chansons :-) Thanks everyone for the reports and vid links. Am sure more will come as peop...
