Well, actually, it was my fraternal great grandmother, who was Jewish, from Germany, so I don't know if that "counts" or not, since it's my dad's side of the family.

In any event, Mr. Cohen strikes me as someone who is proud of his Jewish roots....it pops up so often in his poetry and songs.

Interesting image, neo, on that last post. I can see where this would fit the song, abstractly. Or maybe not so abstractly......very vivid image.

Leonard Cohen should never change his name and neither should any other Jewish person. You should be proud of your heritage...period.

I was raised Christian, but I have Jewish linneage, which I'm proud of. I do not deny it, or hide it.
