Re: why I will not criticise the poetry of others

Exactly, these are gifts. I don't ask for help or criticism--they're given in the traditional way we Cherokee give songs to other people. When a song comes to a Cherokee, it comes to him or her from the Creator. To change it is an insult to the One who gave it to you. Everyone here gets these ideas ...

Re: why I will not criticise the poetry of others

FINALLY, someone said it. I hate the attitudes people have about other poster's work. That's why I won't post any of mine on here after that first one--what's the point if they're going to make you not want to write? I don't ever edit my work either. It's the way I want it the first time around. I w...

Re: Glass Documentary

Glass was one of the first composers to use electronic instruments as well. That had a massive influence on most all the music you hear today, no matter what genre.

Re: Leonard's Recent Meetings with Cohenites

Thanks for the encounter blog, Megan :) The last part especially cracks me up--the guy's co-workers saying "Who?"

Either is good, I liked it the first time around. Some people hum when they're nervous, so I assumed the poor little girl is doing that.

Gigi D'Alessio

Just curious, anyone on here enjoy listening to Gigi D'Alessio? He's a singer & pianist from Napoli, Italy, and sings in both Napoletano and Italian.

Re: Crybaby

The snobbery and attitudes here amaze me. God-awful. This is exactly why I won't put any of my work up on this forum--someone will misunderstand something and then it's all downhill from there.

Stop worrying about how you express yourselves and learn to respect each other first.

Re: Crybaby

Absolutely beautiful, Miss Sheila. I love this, despite having gone through something similar when I was in high school and my father was supposed to pick me up, but never showed. The same man who later pointed a gun at my mother and I, sending us off to my grandmother's house until he regained some...

She seems pretty well versed in audio and recording technology, Lizzy. I'd like to talk to her one of these days about the process both she and LC use on their albums.

Re: Computer Drawings & Art

Nope, not joking at all. A few of them do look as though they were traced from an original image. Not most, but a few. Like this one:

Importing images is always fun though, playing with them even more so.

I will say this though--something about Anjani doesn't sit right with me. I can't figure out what it is.

Re: "Partisan" translation

No problem with the defense, Darling :) Thanks for the Brussels accent factoid too, it's been so many years I got confused LOL. The same thing happens with Italian, although fewer people worldwide speak the language. There's the standard, sometimes called Toscano, which is what I learned, and what I...
