Machines Song. Improvisation?

I recently heard this song, from a Len concert in '72 in Tel Aviv. It says on the title ( improvisation) but that's just what someone at some point labled it. I'm wondering if it's really true. It sounds like an improvisation... but I've never thought of Len as being an improvisational artist at all...

It also had the effect of making me want to know more about Christy Moore, an unknown to me until just now. hrm... two very good finds...

Victor Jara

I only recently heard (of) him. An amazing story, though since I have a feeling that he won't be so unknown to some here I'll just mention a few items: he was a topical/protest singer of sorts in Chili around the time that Pinochet came into power and was tortured/killed in a stadium (along with man...

Sorry Moz, both Lodger and Scary Monsters are fine albums.

Re: David Bowie's "Low"

I've personally viewed this topic 83 tmes - so don't put too much stock in the "viewed" total. I like Low , with my favorite song of the album being Be My Wife. There's another lesser-known Bowie work, and one produced in the same general time frame, that I particularly like, and that is Lodger . He...

Re: Regarding Pete Seeger's requests for a hammer

I like it! :D Pete Seeger sites: this one is a recent appearance on Democracy Now - he still sounds good. It's the July 4, 2007 episode. http://www.democracynow.org/browsebydate.pl?year=2007&month=07 This one is a collection of shows, including episodes on Pete Seeger, Peggy Seeger (the "Woman's Mov...

Anyone know of a site like megaupload? I used to use rapidshare, but when I recently went there I couldn't figure out how to upload a track.

It's here:

I can't say I'm too enthused about megaupload as there is a page of ads you have to navigate through to get to the download page.

Hi Kevin ~ Unfortunately, it may be next year before Yankovic hears your thoughts on it  . ~ Lizzy OKwell I have no idea about that, but just now as I was looking through an old folder of various misc. songs I found one titled Silent all These Years (With Cohen) - it's a spliced track that s...

The Sixties sounds about right. A friend of mine said she used to see him in The Manna Vegetarian Restaurant at Primrose Hill, back then. "A person who eats meat wants to get his teeth into something A person who does not eat more wants to get his teeth into something else If these thoughts should ...

Hi Yankovic ~ Since noone's answered you on this, I'll give you my thought when I read your question. The word "mixed" seems to me to suggest mixed electronically in the studio, the old with the new.~ Lizzy I believe it's referring to the more traditional male and female "mix" since it's the compan...

Leonard a vegetarian?

Has Len ever been a vegetarian or vegan? I'm guessing that while in the monestary he'd have to be vegetarian, at least.

ha no I haven't seen this before. Quite humorous! OTOH I would hate to think that Snowboots would consider herself a captive... or that she would try to send me tumbling down the stairs... or that she suspected the kimodo dragon of being an informant. :D And speaking of decapitating things - This la...

They forgot to thank all the terrorists who made their artistic vision a reality."
