Re: Would you pay to meet and greet Leonard Cohen?!
I've been quiet these many months since Las Vegas, not out of any sense of secrecy, but rather because of my experiences there and my subsequent sense that I have little idea who I can trust here. I'm confident (or at least hopeful) that these were isolated incidents and don't represent the larger c...

Re: Pro-Life Video Expropriates 'The Future'
I don't think this is a political topic?! Just someone expressing their concern that LC's music may have been used without his permission and by people with some dodgy views (whatever your views on abortion, it's part of the lunatic fringe to consider it a racist conspiracy!). And great that you ha...

Gwen, I just wanted to add my hearty congratulations on your meeting Leonard! I was the other fan there on Sunday morning as they were leaving. I was out for a walk (hoping I might run into him!) and saw your group at the back door with him. I didn't want to intrude on your moment, so waited until h...

A beautiful summary Avi - thank you! Being part of this was so special. I will never forget that intense hour of assembling those gift bags - surreal in many ways! You brought your idea to fruition beautifully and I am honored to have played a small role. Thank you to everyone who participated!

I don't know that I have words for this "All Things Cohen" weekend, but apparently my 4-year old does. With all of her stuffed animals piled up on her bed, she just informed me that she is, "too busy - we're composing Hallelujah!" And one of her stuffed animals is now named David.

Re: What made you choose your posting name?
Just found this thread - a very interesting read! Kaimi is a Polynesian word/name that means "The seeker." I chose it about 13 years ago when I was in my twenties and in that seeking stage of life, just trying to figure it all out. The "K" at the end is for my name, Kelsey. Not too inspired, but one...

hydriot - Naughty, naughty you! I read on the TSA website that you are supposed to be frisked by someone of the same gender. But, in reading some real-life experiences, if the appropriate TSA agent isn't available, you may end up with someone of the opposite sex. Really though, a TSA agent???!...

Re: Way off topic question - full body scanner at LV airport
Thank you all for your responses. This is a big news item at the moment here in the U.S. I think we'll be opting for the scan, though I consider the lesser of two evils. Anyone lays a hand on my children and I won't be responsible for my actions! And to be honest, this will be a huge deterrent in ou...

Way off topic question - full body scanner at LV airport
We're getting all of our ducks in a row for our upcoming trip to Las Vegas. When I was reading about current security measures, I found out that Las Vegas uses the new TSA full body scanner. According to the TSA website, you can opt out of these scans, but are then subject to a full body pat-down, a...
