Re: THE FAVOURITE GAME... new (hopefuly last) doubt

I can help you with this as I happen to be reading this book right now -- and loving every word. On the fourth page of Book IV, Breavman is w/Tamara at her tiny apartment and: "They founded the Compassionate Philistines one night, and limited the membership to two. It was devoted to the adoration of...

Re: Tough luck in Vancouver

I'm in the same boat & hoping that at some point people will start posting that they have a ticket(s) that they cannot use. I bought a ticket for Boston, but like you, my eyesight isn't what it could be, so even though most people would consider my seat quite good, it's not close enough for me. I'm ...

Re: Friday Night Concert/Observant Jew?

I, too, read that article in the Times, and found it interesting indeed.
I'm sure we'd all agree that he is an observant man.
And he's a Jew. Therefore, he is an observant Jew.
Perhaps that's his take on it. :)

Re: palace theater waterbury ct-5/14/09 (picture)

I'm not finding the LC concert advertised on Ticketmaster yet for Waterbury.
How do I get to that site for tickets now?

Ah, never mind. Just found it on Tickets.com.
Row J in the Orchestra is not worth $555 to me. Oh well . . .

Re: Password already posted on scalper site

There were countless ebay auctions yesterday, and today, offering up passwords for all of the Fan Club sales.
Disheartening.

Re: 29-May-09 Boston, MA Wang Theatre

Does anyone know if the Pit seats are being sold for this concert? (Did anyone purchase one?)

I ask because the Wang's site states: "Accessible seating is added if seats in the pit are on sale."

Re: Beautiful Losers and The Favourite Game

Here is a link to a delightful interview w/Leonard soon after The Favourite Game was published: http://archives.cbc.ca/arts_entertainment/poetry/clips/15493/ That should answer all of your questions regarding whether or not it is autobiographical. In addition, it's wonderful to hear L speak. His elo...

Honey604 -

"Another thing: the site password wasn't requested at all!"

That was my experience as well, but if you read thru prior posts on this thread & on the Boston Server thread, you'll find that many people purchasing Boston tix had nightmarish experiences regarding the password. Bizarro.

Re: Selling your extra ticket on the Forum . . .

Well, Leonard, I have some new information. On my ticket receipt from the Wang Theatre: "If your tickets are for a future date, unless otherwise indicated, you can pick them up anytime beginning at noon tomorrow up until 5 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin." So I guess I could have easil...

Re: Boston Servers

I'm confused about how some people were told the password was incorrect. There was no place for me to input the password! I believe it was already imbedded, so I don't get how that was an issue for others

leonardmtl - Regarding your comment: "Demand is high, and the exchange can easily be handled by mail/Fedex."

How would that work? I was under the impression that tix had to be picked up on the day of show. Is that not correct?

tashi - Actually I did see him at the Beacon! When I walked by the theatre at 4:00, there were probably 60 people waiting in a long line, in the off-chance that there might be some returns that would be made available. paula - You're absolutely right - I don't need the stress. Thank you both. I'll b...

Selling your extra ticket on the Forum . . .

Inasmuch as none of my friends are LC fans, I'm wondering how one would go about selling an extra ticket on the Forum - at cost, of course. With the new setup of having to pick up tix just prior to concert, it would seem that there is a fair amount of risk for the Buyer, unless I'm missing something...
