Re: Leonard Cohen in the Wall Street Journal's Sport section?!

Oh Avi, you beat me to it! I just logged on to post this, and, as god is my witness , I was going to use the EXACT words and punctuation that you did for the Subject. Exact, I tell you! In any case, my husband brought this to my attention this morning & my reaction was the same as yours. Hmmmm, what...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Red Rocks, June 4

This is not a report, per se, but an attempt to briefly convey the mystical sensory experience at Red Rocks on June 4th. It is dedicated to the original owner of Seat #28, Row 2 – the person who planned their life around seeing Leonard on June 2nd but, tragically, couldn’t stay for the show on the 4...

Re: Dino Soldo in Boston

Hey Diana, As a matter of fact I did watch him at Red Rocks at the appropriate moment & his lips were sealed. You're right about his amazingly choreographed performances. Every concert is a workout! Nice to hear from you. Give my regards to your husband, my seatmate. You two make a great couple! Che...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Red Rocks, June 4

bridger15 asked: Can anyone tell us about Leonard's closing words last night, his Four Priestly Blessings at the end of the concert? Here ya go: Don't catch a cold. It's tricky & it's hellish, but try to be kind. May you be surrounded by friends and family, and if this is not your lot, may the bless...

Re: RED ROCKS CONCERT

Oh, Jeez - I have no idea & I didn't see a phone number on the Red Rocks site.
Someone on the forum must know. Roman perhaps?
It's a great idea to check into, in any case.

Re: RED ROCKS CONCERT

No, I've been following the scene from the homefront since yesterday evening. And you?

Re: RED ROCKS CONCERT

Hey Avi! Yes, actually that crossed my mind as well. First I thought it might be "venue people" checking to see what the status was in the stands. But it also looks as though it could be locals who've arrived for their morning workout. Great place for it.

Re: RED ROCKS CONCERT

For what it's worth . . .
As of 7AM, Red Rocks time, there are some people milling around on the stands:

Re: Red Rocks Concert - June 2, 2009 - Possible RAINOUT?

No. I'm sorry, but someone recently posted that there couldn't possibly be a show indoors tonight because it takes the crew the better part of the day to set up for the show. It can't be done.

Re: RED ROCKS CONCERT

What's the story with the Mixing area (on Red Rocks seating charts) that appears to take up the center section of Rows 5 - 10? Does this result in Obstructed View Seats?

Dino Soldo in Boston

I don't know if anyone else caught this, so I'll share it.
Just after Leonard sang the words, "We met when we were almost young" Dino mouthed (across the stage to the Webb sisters & Sharon), "I was young!" I don't know which of the trio he was communicating with, but I got a kick out of it.

Any of the Euro-concerts at small venues?

I see a lot of stadiums/arenas. Are there to be no intimate gatherings in Europe? I'd love to see him again, but I'm not a fan of the mega-concert scene. Please clue me in as to which of these events are the smallest. Thanks so much!

Re: What did L. say about kindness (in Boston 5/29)?

Ahhh, I see. Thank you.
Yes, the shouting from the balcony was unfortunate, at best, as Leonard kept trying to continue through it all. Can't imagine what those people were thinking . . . suddenly thought they were at a Pearl Jam concert?
