Re: Esther Cohen

Dick and Linda,
So sorry to hear about the death of your close friend Esther. I know you both were very close to her. You did manage to form a deep friendship during the later stages of your lives. I think that made it very special and precious. My sincerest condolences.

Re: Happy Birthday, Jarkko

You are the founding father of this colony of Cohen fans and without you we all would have starved. LC's work may have been the foundation but you were the one who built this place. (And you have kept this unruly bunch in line more than once.) Here's to many more years of health, happiness and some ...

Re: LC tribute in Nevada, USA

This tribute concert is in California, Jarkko. Don't want to send people to Nevada! It's about 60 miles from me here in Sacramento and a really pleasant drive. If my truck was running well it would be a nice trip. The old clunker can't take those mountains; and this old clunker (me) doesn't want to ...

A person can feel isolated even in a crowded city but with a great companion even the remotest outpost can feel full of life.
Happiness happening. Good stuff G!

Re: Sad news: Arlene Dick has passed away

I like to feel that Arlene found joy, a wonderful purpose and group of caring friends gathered around Leonard Cohen and his music. She freely shared her time and efforts and seemed to truly enjoy all the Cohen related gatherings. She was an amazing addition to the Cohen community. I am glad to have ...

Re: You Are Right, Sahara

Ah, a thread I'm really enjoying. Not that there was anything wrong with the talk of the tour but...it's nice to get back to work. (Meaning I have to put some thought into the content here.) Feels like Greg's spirit is still around when these types of discussions get going. Feels good.

Heck of a Guy?...Hell of a guy I'd say! It's just one damn amazing addition, one after another to his site. And the content? Good heaven's. How does he come up with this stuff? How does that mind of his formulate the ideas? Well...I can't wait to see what he'll come up with in the coming year. I am ...

Re: 3-year-old sings Diamonds in the Mine

Aw, three-year-old's should be singing "This Little Light of Mine" or some silly animal song, not Leonard Cohen songs. They need letters, shiny things, chocolates, and mailboxes stuffed with all sorts of things...at least until they hit puberty! (But I did notice this little guy sang the song in a v...
