Glad to hear you had a great turn out for your Barcelona birthday party Jordi. Good thing you didn't decide having the bash in the kitchen. About 70 people? Wow!

It almost feels like I'm trying to pick an "individual" greeting for my answering machine. First few years it's the snippet of a song, or bit of a poem, or a celebrity voice. Then the kids get to put their two cents in and no one can really tell when to speak up and actually leave the message. Well,...

Missed the info on Sean's celebration in LA Lizzy. Did he post something? Sorry to hear you had a bad scare at your place, the hurricane, and that you're hobbling around. Los Angeles is about 350 miles from me, but it's something we might be able to do. Any details?

I was hoping you would get at least several responses to your invitation to celebrate LC's birthday in Barcelona. My husband and I have wanted to see Barcelona for years and this would have been a perfect excuse. But, of course, there is Leonard Cohen Nights in Canada, and the gathering in Australia...

I sent off a thank you email to Medicine Show as soon as I got home because "Sincerely, L. Cohen" was, honestly, the highlight of the event for me personally. (I'm just a "play" person I guess.) Barbara Vann was kind enough to reply, which was really a surprise. I hope those who didn't get a chance ...

Here's one of mine then.

OK. No comments on Gordon's prose, so...here's one of Dar's. You can comment on mine if you want. I'm almost normal but I always felt Gordon is better with words, because he's closer to crazy. ha! Dry Claim Ultimately, nothing diamonds my mine, I think a dry claim and I dig it. It's the deed that's ...

Mud Duck

My husband, Gordon, has written prose poems for many years. He's never shared them. (Except with Snow, of course.) Probably because his style could be misunderstood (racial slurs, cussing, strange grammer, etc.) But, I figured, what the hell. Why not post one? There may be someone out there who migh...

In line with this post and awareness of AIDS - my 19 year old daughter, Gina Azzarello, http://www.supergiantproductions.com, produced an AIDS benefit, The Decibel Festival, on September 20, 2003 in Sacramento, California. She promoted, produced, and funded it on her own. She met all her commitments...

El,
Happy New Year to you too. I hope this year brings you many blessings and wonderful experiences. You deserve all good things, as Leonard would say. Will miss you in NYC but enjoy Oz!

Hugs,

Have a great Birthday Leonard! It goes without saying that I am another adoring admirer and have been for more than 20 years. But, damn, LC, isn't it about time you got over your shyness and joined us in NYC? If you'd rather avoid the limelight, you can always hide beside me!

Guess if I'm going to start to participate in the forum, I should start with a nice simple question like this one. Obviously, lots of folks are still interested in the question. There is no meaning in life, per se. You're given life and you do with it, as you will. Literally, it's your will to live,...

Hydra slide show

Thank you Esther and Andrea. Your slide show is worthy of it's own Hydra brochure. This was the view of Hydra that my husband and I were waiting to see. We really got a sense of the city. Beautiful!
