Is anyone thinking of going to this concert? I'm about 4 hrs. away and need to do "something" to keep from going crazy since my husband and I separated, don't know if it will be permanent, as of yesterday. I need to pick myself up, stop crying, and see a nice gig like this to get me out of this slum...

Been checking for anything further on LA meet-up, and nothing. The Topanga Canyon event on August 26th would seem like a good weekend to get together. Haven't seen anymore posts about a meet-up from the folks who can manage one. Are you guys still considering a get together?

I memorized Poe's "Alone" in my teens and can recite it to this day. (With a nudge here and there). I'm not surprised it would wind up in the forum. Except now I will have it going around in my head for another 30 years. If I'm lucky! O, when I was "into" Poe, Plath and Sexton, I had a favorite Yeat...

I've been following your tastes of Greece posts with interest Lizzy. They've really made me recall how I was on an almost total Greek food binge for over a year at least (back in about 1989). Even used to sing "Wasting Away Again in Retsinaville". I really acquired a taste for the ol' pine tar and s...

Re: the lyrics

I object being dragged into this man's childish inability to love. Who is dragging you and by what are you being dragged and with what? Surely a strong person like you could resist this. You're not a whimp are you? I object being subjected to his constant moaning, whining and gibberish . Who is sub...

That was really kind of you to respond so well to Cheryls post. I sometimes think these type of one line requests are students doing their homework, just looking for a quick fix to a paper they need to turn out. So, Cheryl, hope Rob's answer helps and was this really homework? I just need to know if...

Thanks Gysey! (Thought that was you. Love the nick).
Just waiting to see a new post from Sean or Trish. Tried to email Trish but mail came back.
Is anyone still planning a meet-up in LA??

Just wanted to comment on Bee's thoughts regarding her dying friend. I hope it doesn't upset you more Bee, but very few of us will ever be able to say goodbye or be as involved with our passing as your friend is, with your help. You are giving her a great gift by understanding how important this tim...

O, hell. I'm too tired right now to play along with some of the images that might depict LC as all whimpy and whiney and woe be gone but my marriage is a mess, my feet hurt, my heart aches, my body is going, my hair is thinning, I've got 30 lbs. to lose, my car won't run, my water delivery is late, ...

Thanks for thinking of me Gypsy. Good thing I was hopping all over the forum and caught this post. (I feel bad now since I posted a reply on another thread about passing me by.) I hope that Sean or someone trying to plan this LA meet-up will start a thread that I can remember related to this gatheri...

Well, excuuuusssee me, but I have practically begged for an invitation to LA and I believe I was completely excluded from Sean's last LA bash! Not only that, I now see that Trish lives quite close to me, in Phoenix, and I go there to visit my in-laws quite often. My husband and I were planning on vi...

Welcome back Hydra participants. Can't wait to see the photos and narratives from those who attended. Sounds like it was a wonderful gathering.

Looking forward to Berlin.

I too want to wish Lizzy and her entourage in the UK a great adventure and a wonderful "meet-up". Hope to see you all in Berlin next year. Have a great time! O, and yes, please, a live feed from the island would be nice. If not, how about a post to the forum from the field. Lizzy, you can't stop pos...

Poor man's Cohen, my ass! I saw Dylan in Vegas and the tickets weren't cheap. (I managed to find two on ebay for $50. That was very cheap compared to what most people paid.) If you add in the cost of a Friday night in Vegas, and the etc. for gambling...the cost may have really been up there for some...
