I really like this Greebie. The images worked for me...pretty damn powerful, I'd say. Had more a feel of a prose poem or excerpt from an essay or short story but nice!

My first reaction, because I'm down today, is what humans in 300 years?! The human race is losing and at the rate we're going, there may not be any humans around in 300 years. Then I thought, the artists/poets/troubadores/prophets have been around and have come and gone for thousands of years and ha...

Thanks lizzy. I am going to look into it and if I go, I would take my tent and bag on the train and hope to hook up with you for our camping weekend.

I'll let you know as soon as I figure out if I can manage it. If I can't, I just have to go into major denial and savor some sour grapes. lol

O, this is just too much! Etta James and Koko Taylor...I can't stand it. It's obvious Squidge is in no position to play host to anyone...but there will be so many people there and no accommodations to speak of...who actually from the Cohen bunch is going to pull this off? I know there is a train out...

Hope all is well Squidge.

Yes. I saw a brief interview with the man who bought the collection. My first exhusband, Tony Perry, (who died in a drowning accident at 34 years old in Susanville), worked for Bill Graham for a years. My oldest daughter has several posters and some memorabilia from The Fillmore and The Grateful Dea...

Thanks for posting this squidge. Do you know if this event will be recorded and available on DVD or CD or even broadcast on TV? Certainly wouldn't be the same as being there, but at least it's a way to see and hear some of these great performers. Wish I could pull off attending, but I have to be sen...

One of the main things that made living in the US bearable was knowing that if LC, with all his sensibilities, managed to continue to live and work here...then it's doable. Now this. Anjani's goal is to become a Canadian? It will be just a matter of time and the court case completion before they bot...

Just FYI Red Poppy, Anne is actually one of the few here who is more an admirer of LC than a typical "star-struck" fan. Sometimes I wonder if she has actually agreed to deify The Man, and by that I mean G-d! (Sorry Anne, just had to throw that in there for a lark.) So...be careful reading more into ...

Congratulations! The meeting sounded so cool. You did us proud Anne!! The meeting of a "fan" can sometimes be an awkward and uncomfortable moment for someone like LC and I know you handled it with dignity and grace and beauty. Thank you, because in a way, you represented many of us here and I couldn...

Thanks so much from me too Greg. I was thrilled that my computer cooperated and I got to hear both parts of the interview. I don't want to "push it" but is there any chance or anywhere I could hear the songs that the interviewer refers to as "coming up next"? Dar And apologizing in advance if the pe...

I know it will be alot of work for you to translate the interview Phili but rest assured I and many others will truly enjoying reading it in English. It is rare that an interview like this is available and to hear Marianne's own words and recollections of Leonard and her time with him will be quite ...

Cain Was Just A Man

I stopped for a drink the other day and watched the behavior of some of the "boys" on their night out toward a very overweight woman. I just wrote a few lines to acknowledge her. We spoke for a while and she was intelligent, well read, funny and really nice. Idiots. (No need to comment. It's just my...
