Re: PRESALE to SLIGO on April 24-26

Tickets in Block B Row AA, eventually after losing much better tickets 3 times due to problems with linking to my credit card verification site. It took 35 minutes. Not impressed. Never mind we thought we were going to lose out all together. Still happy now to be going and in the words of Ian McCull...

Re: Leonard for Ireland?

Confused :? . Is the Sligo concert still scheduled for Saturday 31st July. I noticed it is no longer in the list. My hotel booking has been made so would like to know if I have to try to re-schedule. Also I can not find the thread discussing the Sligo concert. Has it been moved somewhere? All I can...

Re: PRESALE TO SLIGO on APRIL 22

For accommodation. The Clarion and the Radissonblu had rooms still available through travelrepublic.co.uk and lastminute.com today. Travel Rebulic prices were considerably lower. We have booked 3 nights (30 Jul to 1st Aug) at the Radissonblu £307 plus credit card charge, through Travel Republic. Jus...

Re: Italy

I am amused by, but enjoying, the speculation about additional concerts. If they were to go ahead, I must agree that the Verona Arena would offer a spectacular venue. Back in the Summer of 1997 my wife and I attended a memorable performance of "Carmen" at this venue. The natural ampitheatre provides...

Re: Help with Eurostar and Hotel Lille Europe !

[quote="paddieu"] We have been refused postponements of hotel Lille Europe and Eurostar to September Hi Paddieu! If you look at my post, page 4,on Tips to get Refunds/Credits, you'll see how I managed to get vouchers for use at a later date. Someone else earlier in this thread went to St. Pancras an...

Re: Lille, who is going??

Yesterday (Saturday), Helen and me booked our Eurostar from London and 3 nights in the Novotel Lille Centre Gares . (2nd/3rd/4th Mar). In light of the recent announcement by Jarkko, as this eurostar booking is non refundable, we are hopeful that the concert is still going ahead. We are waiting in an...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Madrid, September 12

What an outstanding concert. Leonard was truly in top form after promising that "we will give you everything we`ve got). He was true to his word. I see much has already been written about this fantastic evening. From my perspective, of the 7 shows I have had the privilege of attending, this was on p...

BBC 4 Prog Rock Documentary - A Glimpse of Leonard

We watched a a BBC 4 Documentary last night titled "Rock Britannia. An Observation in 3 Movements". During an interview with Rick Wakeman some Festival footage was shown. Rick was talking over this and amongst other things, for a few seconds (3 or 4 at most) a soundless Leonard Cohen was shown singi...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Belfast, July 26

Thanks for all the great reports and links from the Belfast Concert. It seems to have been a fantastic night with Leonard on top form. I would like to add to some of the comments about audience behaviour which had a few posts on this thread. At the recent Liverpool concert I believe that the people ...

Re: Barcelona Celebration 20 and 21-09-2009

To all the organisers: Hi Guys, Number 61, 62 - Scott & Helen (UK) would like to confirm attendance at all events (including lunch). We are travelling down from a coastal resort where we hope to recharge our batteries for a few days after the Madrid concert on 12th September. We intend to be in Barc...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Liverpool, July 14

Just read the report by John Etherington and will not attempt to add too much to such a well written piece. Only my own agreement with his review. We (my wife Helen and I) also attended our 6th concert since Dublin last year. Leonard was in as good form as ever and we believe that the concerns over ...

Re: Weybridge

Delighted as I am that Vega is playing, I can't help but bristle at more slightly inaccurate hype. Last week AEG claimed that Weybridge was Leonard's only UK show this year (later qualifying that in the small-print as his only OUTDOOR show), now we have Uncut claiming - presumably based on a press ...
