Free Book and a very cool idea - Alpahabet City

I'm in love with this!!! It's a short book of poems with a story that runs through it. I like how the pages turn like an actual book. http://issuu.com/mgversion2/docs/alphabet_city_-_anon_ymous?mode=window&viewMode=doublePage or http://www.calameo.com/read/000028151b04da5bfc5a0 If you really enjoy i...

Re: Origami Poems

Isn't it a fun idea - I think this would be great for kids as well. (the template doesn't have to be used for poetry)

Re: Origami Poems

adding one more - Corey Melser - TO WRITING YOU Walking on God's Good Side O rarely will the thing you most need rise to your hand. O rarely will your love come to you on your darkest day with the precise counter-spell. O, friend, why do you sit and wait for the bell? Rise now and open the drapes. T...

Re: My Lover Prefers Pegs - a just for fun challenge

not mine - posting, with permission, a friends 'Peg' offering a choice between grief and nothing The end of every day the same red wagon on the sidewalk, the same sky and stars, the same pegged shirts and sheets on the line flying in the breeze; multi-colored flags in the country of loneliness. She...

3 vignettes for a lychee fruit

I ‘Cold showers for me, Lychee nuts for you.’ This is his prescription for the heat that lingers between our states. ... This heat lies heavy with me there seems to be no escape. The sun finds it way through the smallest cracks. I try to imagines the water soothing him hoping that this will help bu...

riot

Vignette Riot (R.2) That night there was nearly a riot. Helicopters flew low over the city while cop cars burned. Coffee shops and sex stores alike locked their doors. Clouds smothered the strawberry moon and rain filled our streets. We hid, snug under an awning. Men in black darted into dark openin...

Red Door

(or with all the I's it could be I I I - Me Me Me ) Red Door I know that it’s selfish but I want my turn soon. I’ve been waiting here for a while now and I can’t help but notice that lots of people are going through and I want in too. I want to spin and fall and be flung across the room. I want to ...

Re: for you

morning dream The woman in blue, sits at the edge of the water staring up at a waxing moon listening to waves fade in and out. Close by, the man walks in ankle deep water, his pants rolled, a fishing poll in hand. He casts out his line which falls into the moons reflection and feels it tighten. Han...

Re: for you

Mirrored back 'I cherish the delight we share together and that you do not call it love Every star you can see in the dark still lake a mirror of the one above' above one a mirror of two lying still in the dark. You can see every star call a song as soft as their light. Together they share delights...

Re: for you

hello, I like short poems like this one. I hope you don't mind if I try my own version in a different direction. Would it come as a surprise for you to know that I like you; I like being close to you? Is it a surprise to you, that once on a still night you delighted me more than the stars in the la...

Re: jottings, one day it will be a poem

Hello Alice,

Congrats.
On which day will it be a poem?
Will there be a poemitzvah to mark the occasion or perhaps you'll just take it out for ice cream sundaes to celebrate?
(I wouldn't take it out for a beer if I were you, drunken poems are nothing but trouble.)
