Re: Tour Merchandise Info [update: tourbook on page 5!]

Have been to the O2 gig yesterday, and like John Etherington, am really not very impressed with the tour merchandise. I would have preferred something more subtle too (I didn't see the polo-shirts with the small logo, only the sweatshirts, which as nice as they are aren't my style really). The heart...

Re: London July 17

As people have said: Leonard Cohen was amazing, the band brilliant. O2 arena, well, I was sitting in block 421, which is on the side, quite high up and the sound, while crystal clear simply wasn't loud enough. And the screen was at an awkward angle to where we were sitting, so you couldn't really se...

Re: London July 17

I've compiled a playlist made up of the songs played on this tour. I've been listening to it at top volume in preparation. :D Can't wait to hear it all for real at the gig.

Re: Glastonbury

I am also massively disappointed that there is to be no coverage from Glastonbury (for whatever reason it may be). I've got a ticket for the O2 gig in the 'only go here if you do not suffer from vertigo' section, so I don't have high (haha) hopes of good sound, certainly no good view of the man, ot...

Re: October/November concerts in Germany

I booked tickets for Hamburg just now, I am just going to risk this not happening rather than not booking tickets and then finding it does happen. So first London (where I live), O2 arena, somewhere in the skies, 5 miles away from the stage, and then Hamburg (where luckily I can crash at a friend's ...

Re: Artists similar to Leonard Cohen

Gianmaria Testa, what a voice, it makes me melt. I don't speak Italian, so have no real idea what he sings about, but when I first heard 'Da Questa Parte Del Mare' (album) it totally blew me away. I also really like the instrumentation on his songs. You can check him out here: http://www.myspace.com...

Re: The first note - how you found LC and how it affected you

Hello - also new to the board...I loved reading the other stories of how people got into Leonard Cohen. Here's mine: While I had known Leonard Cohen's music for some time, due to my dad playing it around the house, I didn't get properly into him until I bought an Al Stewart record called 'Zero She F...
