Re: Swasticas sprayed on Leonard Cohen’s Montreal synagogue

I am really sorry to hear that this has happened. When we attended a service at the Shaar at the invitation on Cantor Gideon Zelermayer a couple of years ago we were shocked to find security stationed on the door on the Shabbat, security which we had never seen whenever we'd passed the buildings on ...

Re: EVENT RESCHEDULED TO 2022

I can only echo what others have said. It's a sad but necessary decision, the only one you could make in the circumstances. It will give us something to look forward to in 2022. Hopefully we Brits will no longer be the pariahs of Europe by then & we will be allowed back across the border. Please rol...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Auckland, New Zealand – December 21, 2013

Thanks for clarifying Bev. I will remonstrate with Raincoat1 for missing Going Home off his track list. It’s been seeding on Dime since Nov 2016 and no one has pointed it out before!

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Auckland, New Zealand – December 21, 2013

As the initial link above for the concert is now unavailable, here’s another one for those who wish to relive it or listen for the first time. It’s 3hrs 26mins and 15secs of audio and varies a little from the set list above - https://youtu.be/Aq6G6SSEy4Q Enjoy it while it's still available! Bev - I...

Re: Dick Straub has passed away

Such desperately sad news. I got to meet Dick and Linda several times over the years. Lovely people and they were always so kind to me. I will remember Dick with great fondness and really feel for Linda on her loss.

Re: Memorial Box Set re-scheduled to 2021

My refund arrived this morning too. Just a small loss in £ due to exchange rates/ bank fees - much better than I was expecting. The refund was exactly what I paid - $270.

Re: Memorial Box Set re-scheduled to 2021

I just received the e-mail. They can’t possibly be as frustrated as I am but at least they are acknowledging there is a problem.

Thank you Jarkko and Marie for following up with them and keeping us informed.

Re: Art print costs.

Eeeep - OK perhaps I'll have to park that idea. I'm not a huge fan of Cohen's art in general, but do quite like the piece used for the cover of Book of Longing. Guessing that is probably one of the more in-demand prints and likely to be at the higher end of the price range beyond what I could reaso...

Re: Memorial Box Set re-scheduled to 2021

Thanks again Jarkko. One further thought: I do wish they had given us the option of rolling orders over to 2021 instead of automatically refunding (or not as it turned out). I would certainly have done that to avoid the aforementioned fees and exchange rate problems. I wasn’t bothered about having t...

Re: Memorial Box Set re-scheduled to 2021

I asked the project management today, and they told us: The refunds are being processed and should be credited to all buyers' accounts over the next few days. We are in regular contact with the payment processor to make sure that the refunds are processed promptly and completely. I am wondering wha...

Re: Art print costs.

Why not just make an enquiry about the print you're interested in? That way you'll know for sure. The prices do vary enormously depending on size, availability and territory. Sometimes a local gallery will have older prints at an earlier price but that just depends what, if anything, they have in st...

Re: 25 Years of The Leonard Cohen Files

Congratulations Jarkko! The Files was an amazing achievement in itself and much appreciated in an almost Leonard free world (as it appeared at the time). We bought our first PC in 1997 and I was a frequent visitor from then, long before I discovered how many wonderful people there were out there to ...
