Yeah, I just thought it was nicely put - and it's just a news piece (I didn't bother pasting the album bit, cos I guess y'all alreasy know about it). It's got its detractractors, but I've always found Pitchfork to be an excellent source of reviews, recommendations and appraisals, and it's especially...

Little piece about Leonard...

This is a few days old, so sorry if it's been discussed, but I just found this little piece of writing relating to Leonard Cohen's new album on Pitchforkmedia.com, and rather liked how the writer put it, so I thought I'd share: Leonard Cohen Readies 11th Album Joins Veronica, J.D. in plot to take do...

I don't see it as writing to a past self - if you take it for what it is, it's a brave, cuckolded letter from the author to a man who's stolen his lover - and made a better fist of keeping her happy than he ever could. It's that mix of jealousy, regret, bitterness and defiance - complex emotions. I ...

Suzanne and So Long Marianne are pretty much the first songs I ever recall hearing - my parents must have played them a lot when I was a bout four or five. I came back to him when I was about 14 or so, and had just got into Dylan and the Beatles and was rifling through my parents record collection f...

Hi - I've just got another gig lined up for Tuesday 25th at Viva Viva in Hornsey... All comers welcome. Once I get a little website going, I'll post a link, so I can stop defaming dear Leonard with shameless self-promotion..!

I've got enough songs for about three albums, I do have plenty of them recorded on cassettes, but I'm not very hot on production, and can get quite impatient :x , so almost all of them have little mistakes in them - which mean I don't want to put them out. At the moment, I'm concentrating on ...

Thanks very much for listening and for the feedback - actually, I've never heard any Burt Jansch - a lot of people have told me I should though. I'll have to check him out asap. And yes, they're my own compositions. Not sure why the second link doesn't work, but I may as well try again... http://www...

Just voted for Songs of love and hate - but I have to say I'm shocked at the poor showing for Songs of Leonard Cohen - every single moment on it is perfect. Is it just cos it's too 'obvious'?

The new Leonard Cohen

I'm not sure if I'm commiting a gross breach of etiquette here, but I figure, what the hey, I'm a London based songwriter who people have compared to Leonard Cohen. I've just uploaded a couple of songs, and am looking to get a bit of feedback on them. So if anyone's around, please, give me a listen ...
