Re: Song Meanings

I always wondered what was the meaning of "The Old Revolution". I thought it was a reference to Vietnam War. After reading your message, I wonder if what you say about "A Bunch Of Lonesome Heroes" can apply to "The Old Revolution".

Sail on, sail on O mighty Ship of State To the Shores of Need Past the Reefs of Greed Through the Squalls of Hate Sail on, sail on, sail on, sail on The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won, The p...

Re: "A new album of original Leonard Cohen songs is in the works"

I'm glad to read this news. They are an aswer to the question I asked long ago (wether there will be a new album of original songs) here: https://www.leonardcohenforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=37846&p=368239#p368239. As HugoD said, (I agree with him), we kind of expected this but this confirmation is...

Is the "There is a crack in everything" verse (The Anthem) related to the Tikkun olam?

Good morning. I recently have been reading about the Tikkun olam: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tikkun_olam I just have read again that, and I quote a paragraph from that text: "According to this vision of the world, God contracted part of God's self into vessels of light—partly limiting himself—to ...

And by "A posthumous disc" I mean "TWO" posthumous discs. After Leonard Cohen's death, the news of his ryt...
