Re: Statement from Cohen Estate: Unauthorized use of "Hallelujah" as finale to Convention Festivities
i am actually someone who always buys the legal version of an artists work and do find it annoying how music is just considered a free for all now. what is even worse though is streaming. you get millions of streams if i am correct in that is what they are and make nothing. that for me is far worse ...

Re: DOALM and Dear Heather
the problem with doalm is quite simple cohen did not finish the album and always felt his vocals to be rough guides for the musicians to work off. spector took the masters and finished the albums mastering himself. it is a good album and given that cohen has so few proper albums is worth buying. i l...

Re: New 2LP bootleg of a 1979 concert
musicdownload.zone has this entire concert up free to download so don't spend money on what you can get for free. be precise when naming it though as it's video only even though it's only the audio of the concert. renaming a video file from this site corrupts it and makes it unplayable.

Re: How Do We Come to Terms with Leonard Cohen’s Legacy in the #Metoo Era?
well what a joke i mean seriously when shows like game of degrading women wins awards we are actually meant to take this rubbish seriously. in this era of whatever it seems soft targets are the only targets. criminal minds ran for years by airing episodes which portrayed young women as victims and a...

Re: Bob Dylan New Album 'Rough and Rowdy Ways'
love this album. it is as strong an album as any of the classics he has released. keywest is for me the highlight, dylan even at eighty is still as relevant as he always was and will be.

Re: Leonard's vaults...
it would be nice if live recordings where to be made available and yes he did release live albums but live songs is a taster of how good he was back then and a full live concert from say the period 1972 to 1974 would be nice. even say a download so as to cut right back on costs and not to have to wo...

Re: Statement from Cohen Estate: Unauthorized use of "Hallelujah" as finale to Convention Festivities
i'm not sure why people get so bothered regards things that really in the bigger scheme of things don't really matter. i like artists who most certainly don't agree with my opinions but thats very good as in a free world the more we respect others views the better we get on. big deal trump singing a...

Re: Record Store Day 2021: Songs of Love and Hate
it looks really nice and given a pressing of 5000 i would imagine most who want it should be able to get it. between rsd and national album day vinyl is most certainly selling amazing these days. a live 1970 or 1972 would have been better though but this is certainly worth getting.
