Re: Manchester Opera House Gallery - How high?
Hi U/T You will have no problem seeing anything, it really is a very intimate venue and nothing seems too far away from the stage (in fact from the stage it must seem like you are very close to a lot of faces staring back!!)... It does however increase in angle from a gentle slope in the stalls (let...

Re: manchester opera house
To save me digging through several layers of forum posts, does anybody know who the support will be in Manchester?
Seems Dublin gets Damien Rice, so maybe some much adored Mancunian might fit the bill.....
Morrissey anyone?

Michael Macdonald!!!! Utter Rubbish.
I know there are many versions of Hallelujah out there, but 10 minutes ago on BBC Radio2 (UK) I heard for the first time the most MURDERED version EVER!!! Michael Macdonald... please just don't bother if you can't do it properly!! In fact go listen to Jeff Buckley :( If this has been noted elsewhere...

Re: Tour Poster
Not sure... but if you look at Richard Goodall gallery site there is a lot of Leonard's art in there. Some of it is for sale, so who knows you might be able to buy the original!!

Re: Has anybody seen a performance at Edinburgh Castle?
The only thing I have seen there is the Military Tatoo during the Festival!! A one-off I can assure you.... the fireworks were good but I don't think I'd repeat the experience. Anyway to the point.... The castle is high upon a rock, the highest point in the city and that wind rushes in across the Fo...

Re: hotels in Manchester
I believe the Ibis on Portland Street is comfortable and reasonably priced. I've stayed at the Aurora on Princess Street which was very nice and boutiquey... and allegedly part-owned by Cliff Richard but I didn't let that fact put me off. One thing though.... DON'T GO TO THE APOLLO... Leonard's on a...

Re: UK Tour
Anyone know if there is a support on this tour and who it might be in Manchester?
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere within the labyrinth of this forum.
I'm hoping not as more LC has to be the best option

Re: Manchester shows
I suppose the real problem with a refund from an Ebay purchase (even if the seller were the nicest person on earth) is that you will only get back the 75 quid face value whereas you bought it for 8 thousand pounds!!!!!!

Re: Manchester shows
ptn - yes, just want to add my thanks to you for all the information... you really have enlightened us all about ticket sales more in one day than I have figured out in 30 years!!
It is strangely comforting to know, as somebody else has said, but it hasn't made me love the sytem any more

Re: Manchester shows
You mean touts are already there at the venue box office???? What are they doing, selling tickets? How does this continue...how do they get tickets? I know I'm asking a lot of questions here but I'm just baffled by the whole ridiculous circus of ticket sales in the 21st century. It is a lottery and ...

Re: Manchester shows
What IS all that LIVE CARD nonsense??? Does anyone here have one? How do we get one? Is somebody out there (maybe in the government ) dreaming bhese things up just to make life chuffing difficult for decent law abiding Leonard Cohen fans??? I get in there at 9.54 and tickets are available, but only ...
