I would be grateful for access to the 10 CD version as well, although I am unbelievably grateful to @albumsshouldexist for access to the 106 track version, too!

To put it broadly--and I think that's appropriate in this context--I think the she is the future reader/listener of/to the work.

Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums
Hi Louis! Thanks for the thoughtful response, very nice of you to take the time. I am, of course, aware of that "possible option" (I didn't say that my list was exhaustive ;-) ), as well as the fact that an awful lot of people seem to believe it. However, I shall be polite and refrain fro...

Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums
..."why would God allow atrocities such as the Holocaust to happen?"... Ah, yes, the eternal "Problem of Evil" for those who choose to believe in an omnipotent, benevolent, and omniscient God. There is, of course, no answer to this question, at least not one that will satisfy ev...

Hi Maarten,
Thanks so much for these. I've downloaded them, but I can't figure out what app or program to use to open and play them.
Any advice?

Re: Rank Leonard lyrics from saddest to happiest - and help a poor student :)
It's more than just a matter of interpretation. I don't think even the most basic affective response to some of these songs can be captured by the categories (sad/happy). Just to take one example, I wouldn't use either of those words to characterize my basic emotional response to "First We Take...

Re: Posthumous album
And as for the video version of “Happens To The Heart”, my reservations are even stronger. In principle there is no problem when video artists find inspiration in a certain LC song and create their own images, but we must not be given the impression that this is an “official” release, because LC ha...

Re: The dedication of Cohen's "Isaiah"
Thank you so much for the suggestion! As you say, she's not someone I'd associate with this particular poem, although her importance to those two you mention (and a few others as well) is certainly clear. I'll have to think more about it and see if there are any other dots I can (or can't) connect. ...

The dedication of Cohen's "Isaiah"
In The Spice-Box of Earth, Cohen dedicated the poem "Isaiah" to "G.C.S." Does anyone know the identity of the dedicatee?
