Re: What instrument is used in the intro to “Closing Time”?

I am pretty sure Neil Larsen plays a Hammond B3 with a Leslie.
I think he also plays a Fender Rhodes.
From concert pictures, I can see he also uses a synthesizer but I can't make out what make and model it is.

Re: "That Time of Night" by Michael Chapman

I can see why you would like Leonard to cover this song but his voice also reminds me of Tom Waits.
I also listened to the rest of the album on soundcloud.
Great songs.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: fingerpicking leonard cohen

A copy of what?
Is there some song you want to learn? There is no particular fingerpicking style that you use for all LC songs.
You need to be more specific as to what you are looking for.

Re: Hattie Webb's new album: "To The Bone"

Currently 103 people support this project by making a pledge.
Come on people, we can do better than this.
Surely there are more Cohen fans willing to support Hattie.
The cheapest pledge is a mere 10 pounds (14 euros).

Re: To Tour Again, or Not.

To tour again, or not? Sounds like "not" , from Jarkko's comment on the News section. Actually, the News section is the only one worth reading now. There's no point trying to discuss anything on Comments and Questions anymore, as any thread which becomes active is soon clogged with totall...

Re: The Dublin live BluRay/DVD/3CD now announced

I now have received this item and feel like I can comment. I think it is very enjoyable, but there is something about it that makes it feel less special than the "live in london" release. It is hard to pinpoint why. I think the band and Leonard sounded better at the london gig, even thoug...

Re: Live in Dublin Sound

I agree. The Live in Dublin album is a poor mix that does not compare to Live in London. It lacks depth and dynamics.

I was prompted to write : Do not feed the troll. Than I realized how archaic this expression is, now. Noboby is using it, anymore. Not as archaic as you might think. I think this Wikipedia entry is good description on the meaning and use of the word troll in the current internet era. http://en.wiki...

we have a host and we are guests. I don’t think a host saying to a guest who is getting carried away, ‘that’s enough’, is the same as censorship. Really? Yes, really What if the "host" says to the "guest" : "GET OUT! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE HERE AGAIN !!! " That'...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Amsterdam, Netherlands - September 20, 2

During the last two songs there were a few crew members on stage taking pictures with their smartphones. Has anyone seen these posted somewhere or know how to get in touch with any of the crew members (Jarkko?). I would love to see some photos from the stage point of view.
