Extraordinary. This quite unlike any previous Leonard Cohen record. Listening to this album is like watching a Terrence Malick film; it's a lot to take in all at once. Nonetheless I can say that Old Ideas seems to be a subtle and understated masterpiece. Different Sides gave me goosebumps.

I must say I'm surprised at the somewhat lukewarm reaction that 'Going Home' has produced on this board.
