Re: Adam Cohen playing in Athens
Suzanne Irndal? Isn't she Suzanne Elrod? There's a beautiful lady with this name on the website http://www.suzanneelrod.com. She is an artist living in Paris and occasionaly in LA, but I'm not quite sure she is the mother of LC's children. I'd also love to see a recent picture of her.

Re: Worst ever LC tracks
"So Long, Marianne" sounds great on Field Commander Cohen. I actually like it; LC's voice is fine and the music as well and you can hear the lyrics clearly.
"Jazz Police" is not a favourite, but I like it more than most of the tracks on Death of a Ladies' Man.

Re: The word and the voice of God
Hello, John, nice to have you here. You have a whole world to explore ... enjoy! Try to get Field Commander Cohen, Tour of 1979. I love his voice on that album and the songs are great as well.

I also love Jeff Buckley singing Hallelujah and can listen to it over and over again. This is the only cover of a Leonard Cohen song that I really like. It is so sad that the talented young man had to pass away so untimely.

Re: Listening Frequency
At this moment I have 103 Leonard Cohen songs on my MP3 player (nothing else) and I listen to them at least a few hours every day, wherever I go and whatever I do. Even if I do the washing or read the news, drive to town or write a letter. I will never, ever get tired of his voice or his songs. If t...

Re: Sony-BMG Releasing Several Leonard Cohen CDs Feb 1
Tonys, are you a Leonard Cohen fan? You don't sound like one..... You keep on making negative and unkind remarks. Why should it bother you how many cds he has sold, how many new/old fans he has, how much money he has, etc.? If you were a fan, you wouldn't make these tactless remarks. The hundreds of...

You said it all very well, John.
I think Juggedout should keep listening to these albums with an open mind and sooner rather than later he will understand and appreciate the greatness of this music.

Re: Dreaming about SETLIST 2008 ...
Unfortunately I won't be there, but I guess he will sing some of his latest songs which are rather short, and probably some new ones. One should keep in mind that Leonard's voice is at 73 not what it had been thirty or forty years ago. I think he might have Anjani or some other singer(s) with him on...

Re: Leonard Cohen concert?
Yes, Lizzy, it would be lovely, but on the other hand, what would I say to a man such as Leonard Cohen? I guess I would be totally speechless! Being a Namibian I need a Schengen visa to visit some countries in Europe; this you can obtain from an embassy in Windhoek. For Switzerland you need a specia...

Re: Leonard Cohen concert?
Hi Lizzy, No, I don't think so. We have a lot of problems getting visas in our country, of which time is the most important. I could manage to visit Europe three times in the past but it takes months to organize your trip and get everything in place. For instance our nearest airport is Windhoek, abo...

Yes, Toni, I also like your words, and I also love Georges Moustaki. I've been listening to Moustaki for many years and some of my favourites are "Le Meteque", "Ma Solitude", "Il y avait un jardin" and "Ma Liberte". He's a beautiful man and a great musician an...
