Re: Leonard Has Passed Away

'When people talk about Leonard, they fail to mention his melodies, which to me, along with his lyrics, are his greatest genius. Even the counterpoint lines - they give a celestial character and melodic lift to every one of his songs. As far as I know, no one else comes close to this in modern music...

Re: New Album announced: 'You Want It Darker'

Listened to the new album a few times now. I'll get cursed for my comments, but I can only give an honest opinion. Lyrically I give the album five stars of course, but musically I found it, hmmm, more than a tad disappointing - it has a funeral tempo at times. For me, "You Want It Darker" ...

Re: URGENT: HOP FARM SHOWS TO WEMBLEY ARENA

I just got back from my holiday and was going through my emails when I read about the Hop Farm gigs being switched to Wembley Arena. It's all a bit of a mess for me - it seems my front row ticket is still available, but having spent too much money while on holiday, I don't have the money to buy the ...

Re: HOP FARM # 2 CONFIRMED. PRESALE NOW

I just noticed that some of the cheaper "blue" seats at the back that are priced at £65 for the Sunday concert, are still on sale for the Saturday concert, but classified as "yellow" and therefore priced at £85. That seems unfair to have two different prices for the same seats, d...

Re: Why everybody should read Presale to 3rd Concert in Dubl

not everyone joins and posts on internet forums regularly - nor should they need to in order to be considered part of the fan base. Excellent post, Jeremy. :D My 66-year-old brother (he's 14 years older than me) has been a fan since Leonard's first album but has NEVER posted on this forum. I think ...

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT ON GENERAL SALE

What's wrong with 3 concerts at the royal albert hall or some other UK venue . That.s 9,000 (an extra 1,500 ) They are doing it at Dublin and Ghent why not the UK . A point that I don't think anyone else had made is that the Dublin concerts (which aren't getting the same flak as Hop Farm) are prett...

Re: UK CONCERTS

I remember Weybridge as a great evening. I honestly cannot remember the bad weather. It WAS a great evening! Fortunately, it only started raining heavily near the end of the concert. I remember it being chilly though, Leonard wore a scarf round his neck. There was a great moment when Leonard looked...

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT ON GENERAL SALE

Come on guys - this is old ground!! We know the score. Personally I want to see Leonard in 2012 and 2013 if I get the chance. Wendy Me too. :D I don't understand some of the negative, snide and grumpy remarks I've seen on the forum. It's a real shame and I wish it would stop. I realise one of the m...

Bean, by my reckoning this is where you'll be sitting, but hopefully there won't be a big red arrow pointing at you. ;-)

I'm next to you in seat 87. Tis good to see so many tickets sold already. :D

Re: UK CONCERTS

Why all the negativity on the forum today? :( I can't see this selling out anytime soon. Prince played at the festival last year, and they were still selling tickets on the door. If Vince Power is organising, they'll be ramming in as many people as they can. Leonard is NOT playing the Hop Farm Festi...

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT ON PRESALE NOW

I just got this email from ents24.com:

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday 13th April at 2pm, but as a fan, you can get your tickets from 7am tomorrow (13/4), 7 hours early!

Or 22 hours late for users of this thread!

Quite funny really - how many presales are there? :D

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT announced

I suspect that this will not sell out due to the location. I hope that I am proved wrong. It's easier for Londoners to get to Hop Farm by car than nip down to Brighton for a day at the seaside, so my guess is that it will sellout, especially as it's Leonard's only UK concert this year. Book now and...

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT announced

Cool, well thanks so much for the link! I got A4, row A, 103-6, which I'm hoping is the front, not so sure about the 103-6, but wasn't going to turn down Row A! Now bring me sunshine :D You have all got great seats! Front row centre block (A4) runs from 81 to 108 according to the seating plan. I bo...
