Re: "The Guests" and French 1987 interview on INA archives

Hi Jeremek, I agree that INA's website is not user friendly, even if I'm French it was not easy to download the file. I did once again the download process to understand your problem. When you are logged in and have already added the file to your basket, you can access your basket with "Accéder à mo...

Re: Leonard Cohen drawing

Thank you Lisa, Mary, Vicomtesse and Leonka :D
I agree with you it's my favorite too.
I'm happy because I can see the progression between the drawings I made 3 years ago and this last one, I'm making progress!

Re: Leonard Cohen drawing

Thank you for your kind words Vicomtesse :D
I just finished my first portrait of the year! It took me the afternoon and the evening (and 2 pencil leads ;-) ) to be satisfied with the result. I hope you'll like it :D

Best wishes to all of you

Re: "The Guests" and French 1987 interview on INA archives

Oh sorry Marine, I didn't realize that the link on your post was a link to the actual song! I downloaded it and it works! However, be careful because if someone downloads the song and posts it on Youtube, they will be able to track it back to you thanks to their "tatouage numérique". Depends...

Re: "The Guests" and French 1987 interview on INA archives

Such a pity that I can't just email it to you.. It wouldn't work as they have some digital tracking thing on the file. B.st.rds! So if I understand when you download the file I sent, it can't work? They must track us with the IP address... it looks like they know how to protect their files at INA :...

Re: "The Guests" and French 1987 interview on INA archives

I agree entirely. I was taken aback by the use of "tu" as well; trop familier in my opinion! But Leonard did not seem to mind (perhaps they'd agreed it beforehand??) ;-) well...yes perhaps. A least I hope so because I feel it like a lack of respect from Ardisson, I know it's his style but that's wh...

Re: "The Guests" and French 1987 interview on INA archives

Yes, thank you very much remote1! The idea to search in INA's website never crossed my mind :D I'm not a fan of Thierry Ardisson's interviews and I'm not sure that the use of "tu" is appropriate but still the answers of Leonard Cohen and Dominique Isserman were interesting. I was so frustrated with ...

Re: Uncanny Din: A Rant

That was so funny
I would never have thought of this words when listening to this song (I learned some new words by the way, thank you!), as for once I don't have to concentrate to understand the meaning!

I love your drawing Lili! It's very original and always better when it's done with the inspiration so that it has a personal meaning for you.

Re: THANKYOU JARKKO

I'm a bit late in this thread, but it's never too late for thanks! I agree with all that had been said and I don't think I could say it better with my little vocabulary! Anyway thank you Jarkko, it's really great to have this forum for sharing information and thoughts on Leonard Cohen and it's a min...

Re: Leonard Cohen drawing

As promised above, I finally managed to get my first LC drawings back! The second one is not really a good likeness I think for his face but I'm satisfied with the body and the guitar :D . I have another photo (more contemporary) in mind for my next portrait, I'll try to do it before the end of my h...

Re: Leonard, don't do France

Hi Even if I don't like football (and please don't beat me for that  ) I'd like to add my involvement in this discussion : it's a video of the French band "La Chanson du Dimanche", who makes a funny song each sunday about a current event and the last one was about Thierry Henry. Here's the link...

Re: Leonard Cohen concerts in France 2010

Hi Leslie! Of course I recommend you come in France (especially in Marseille and for the same reasons ladydi asked you to forget it! :D ). You can use the website of fnac to test the seats before buying them and you don't need to enter your email. Here is the link : http://www.fnacspectacles.com/rec...

Re: Waiting for the Miracle with Dino Soldo

Jake, I think you're referring to the Akai EWI4000 Electric Woodwind. Here's an interesting article about the instruments played during this tour : http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/tour2008-5.html
You can also find videos of this instrument on youtube.
