Re: Sharon Robinson at Oran Mor, Glasgow- report

Saw her last night - was a lovely concert.

Unfortunately we had to leave streight after the encors so missed her coming out again and chatting to folk.

Re: Madeleine Peyroux Bird

I really like her cover version on her new album. She has also done a couple of Anjani's a few years ago.

Madeleine's got a good voice and above all she doesnt try too har - like most covers.

Re: Hope for Europe? (Several threads merged)

I hope there will be more UK dates announced! Haven't bought any LON tix and now they come up as currently unavailable. Can't imagine the O2 Centre to be sold out already....

Somebody is making a packet.
I'm surprised that people pay that though when everyone knows it's scalpers/touts/secondary markets what ever you want to call them,.

i would never pay that just out of principle.

Re: PRESALE ON TUESDAY TO LONDON (June 21, 2013)

I don't actually think the presale offers you better tix - the last time i got better ones about 3 weeks after the sale has started. I think they just get released at different times..all a bit random and hugely annoying. Also the site keeps timing out after about 20 secs

at 9am A2 didn't even show up - every so often it comes up but then when i put in the number of seats i want (3) it says 'not enough seats available' which i don't believe for a minute. Also the sections keep fluctuating....hate being at the mercy of some daft computer system. Will need to keep tryi...

Re: Dino Soldo not in the tour band

I don't understand the problems here - the concerts with the 'instruments of wind' were great but so was the concert I saw on Sat with the violin. Some songs sound a bit different and have a different arrangement but I it makes it a bit more interesting. If you want to have the exact same sound ever...

Re: URGENT: HOP FARM SHOWS TO WEMBLEY ARENA

Open air concerts are totally overrated. I went to 7 open air concerts (6 in the UK, 1 in Germany, but not all Leonard Cohen) - none of them were perfect weatherwise. On 4 of them we got rained on and it wasn't particularly warm either although in the summer, 1 was freezing cold in July, and 1 it wa...

Re: URGENT: HOP FARM SHOWS TO WEMBLEY ARENA

Just seen this now and checked on ticketmaster and eventim and they are trying to flock really crap seats for nearly £100 and again they don't show you what's available and not so you can't even pick your own seats. Checked out another webste where they sell good-ish seats for almost £200 per person...

Re: is it ok to bring my 7 year old to a Cohen concert

If the 7 year old has listened to the music before and likes it then i don't think there's anything wrong with taking him/her.

A 7-year old might not care too much for lysics but likes the tunes...so why not?

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT ON GENERAL SALE

I think all concert prices have risen sharply over the last two years as live shows have now become the major source of income for many artists. Ticket prices depend on the deal between management and promotor, and from reading other posts, the Hop Farm promotor would have been a driving force behi...
