Re: Book of Longing: Audio Book, narrated by Leonard

Isn't there a button "buy with one click" that allows you to buy the audio without subscription? ( see below) Hugo, thank you so much for your efforts & your reply. However, the option to buy in any manner did not come up at amazon.com or audible.com; after trying again several times, I called "cus...

Re: Book of Longing: Audio Book, narrated by Leonard

This is amazing, wonderful news, but when I go to amazon.com (the U.S. website), using the link provided, it says " this is not available to you" & then "this title is no longer available"! Maybe that just refers to the printed book... And when I did a search for "Book of Longing audio editi...

Re: FROM LEONARD: HAPPENS TO THE HEART

Your servant here HE has been told Thanks for the beautiful photo, Boss. If you are suggesting that the Young One is already here, then I agree (be it a HE or a SHE), & the Great Transformation is surely coming soon, if only we will all raise ourselves to readiness...& if that is You, then the worl...

Re: FROM LEONARD: HAPPENS TO THE HEART

If you go back to the first page of this thread, you will see that Leonard sent this poem us on August 25, 2016, to make sure we'd see it. Happens to the Heart will be the first poem in his forthcoming book "The Flame". The poem is still dated on June 24, 2016, and no changes have been made. Dear J...

Re: FROM LEONARD: HAPPENS TO THE HEART

Sure it failed my little fire But it's bright the dying spark Go tell the young messiah What happens to the heart Cohen's last ever stanza. Who is 'the young messiah'? Actually, the last ever stanza which Leonard shared in public (albeit verbally), when he appeared in person at the Canadian consula...

Re: Will there be posthumous disc?

Thank you for explaining, holydove. That's what I meant. Hartmut, you are very kind to be so tolerant of my propensity for excessively detailed explanations  . I beg forgiveness for indulging that compulsion. What prompted such explanation is that I think Born In Chains had special significan...

Re: Will there be posthumous disc?

Interestingly, in the Popular Problems CD booklet, Born in Chains is the only song on the album that has only Leonard Cohen's name, as composer, under the title of the song. All the other songs have LC's & Patrick Leonard's name, except for A Street, which is credited to LC & Anjani Thomas (just to ...

Re: No Words (tribute song to LC)

I also wondered at the time of posting which is the correct name of the choir - A choir (dubbed the Awesome Strangers Gospel Choir) is then added, imparting a neo-gospel fervour Live at the Ryerson Church in Vancouver, Canada, with the Righteous Ramshackle Chorus The writer of this article states t...

Re: No Words (tribute song to LC)

One example is album highlight "No Words," dedicated to Leonard Cohen; "I have no words, he took them all," it declares, though the song does include such eloquent lyrics as "I never knew a stranger who hurt my heart better."... This song is indeed very beautiful & touching, & contrary to what the ...
