Re: TOWER OF SONG: MEMORIAL TRIBUTE TO LEONARD COHEN, MONTREAL

Wonderful for Adam to arrange all this, but disappointing that none of Leonard's musicians feature, nor Sharon or Perla or the Webb sisters. Waiting until they were available would be more fitting I think. Nevertheless I hope those that attend enjoy it, as I am sure they will.

Is this the same surprise?

It has been posted on Facebook that tomorrow the 5th a new book comes out of Leonard's poetry.
Is this the surprise we are waiting for?
If so I am wondering if there will be anything new because I expect most of us already have his poetry in his other books, - just wondering -

Re: Important Announcement in August

Should not have long to wait now - my guess is a poetry book rather than cd.
My wish though would be a cd of Leonard reading his poems himself.

Re: These people claim that LC will be playing next year in the UK

I don't think we would expect him to go through all that again at this stage in his life, but (and I suppose this should be on 'comments') How great it would be if Leonard could do a cd of him reading his poetry.
I would settle for that anytime.

I watched this last night. Worth a watch if anyone has not seen it.

Yes, I quite like it, just need to get used to it. Must have been difficult selecting a winner though.

Re: Apathy of Late

I agree that not a lot is going on here. I usually pop in at some point daily, I must admit for any news.
It seems that when there is something new happening, ie a concert or new cd we see more activity, but at this moment it is quiet somewhat.

I wonder if we will ever get a cd of Leonard reading his poems. I love to hear him reciting.

What's wrong with the picture? Lots of empty seats, that would never happen.

Is it a superstition?

I have often wondered after watching Leonard's DVDs and also noticed at his concerts, why does he remove the ring on his left hand half way through the concerts? If this has been answered before, sorry, I must have missed it.
