Hello Kush,
Thanks for posting those songs. I have always liked the sense of humour in Toby Keith’s videos. This is one of my favourites - with Willie Nelson:

Re: Music You're Listening To
Hello Kush,
I really enjoyed those songs. It is the sort of music which one rarely hears nowadays. I am very fond of Marlene Dietrich’s version of ‘Lili Marlene’ too.

Hello Amber,
It is fascinating how in this world people’s lives come into contact with each other through different ways. Your father was a very talented man and your love and admiration for him show in your words. I am glad that I have discovered his music.

Hello Kush,
I can see what you mean about the Gordon Lightfoot song. He sounds so much like Johnny Cash and here is a song written for him by Johnny Cash and June Carter.

Hello Kush,
Thank you for the link. It is amazing that he is virtually unknown nowadays. Here is another of his songs.

It is hard to believe that this song is over fifty years old now. So much for progress!

Re: Roads to Freedom - Jean-Paul Sartre
The BBC has finally decided to show this series again, many years after its last screening in the 1970s. I would certainly recommend it. The first episode is due to be screened on BBC4 on Wednesday, 27th July at 22.00.

Re: Corpus Christi Bay - Robert Earl Keen
Hello Kush,
That is one of my favourite Robert Earl Keen songs. I also remember watching a live version by Kris Kristofferson years ago on YouTube but I don’t think it is there any more. Another Robert Earl Keen song which I like is ‘Love’s a word I never throw around.’
