Re: never-ending gallery

I've noticed that in the portraits of Leonard as an old man, his expression often seems to convey a happy peacefulness, compared to the much more common emotionally intense visage of his younger self. I am glad that he seems to have found traquillity later in life, which apparently eluded him for so...

Re: never-ending gallery

This latest painting is beautiful and rather haunting -- I love the intensity of the eyes, so full of emotional depth, it makes me wonder what he's thinking.

Speaking of haunting:
I did look it up after you mentioned it above. Intriguing concept.

That author is a different Eric Lerner altogether. He's not the one who wrote the Cohen book.
Oh, well, thank you, I stand corrected! (It's still a good book, whoever the real Eric Lerner is!).

Wow, Anny and Geoffrey, those were quick responses! I hope The Big Bang... book does not disappoint -- I found it to be very illuminating, and quite enjoyable to read. All the best!

Re: Matters of Vital Interest: A Forty-Year Friendship with Leonard Cohen

I just received this book (I bought it based on the glowing recommendations here), but I haven't yet read it. I am looking forward to it! However, as an aside, if anybody is interested in the history of science and cosmology, and its relation to religion, philosophy and politics, Eric Lerner also wr...

I am so disappointed that "loves Leonard Cohen" didn't make your list. Clearly, your priorities are all wrong.

Nonetheless, a "Stepford Wife" would probably be just the thing for you -- save your krones, and maybe you can buy one some day.

Re: Leonard Cohen, Singer of the Bible

Interesting article, but it would have been nice had the author been able to correctly identify the albums from which certain songs originated (there are numerous errors on page 97, and why cite a Jennifer Warnes album for one of them when Leonard recorded the song himself?). Thanks, nonetheless, fo...

Yes.

Wonderful photo, it almost looks like the sky is on fire. Quite amazing, the beautiful canvas that light and clouds can create. Thank you for sharing it.

Awesome! Amazing that you can capture Leonard's likeness -- and his spirit -- with just a few lines. Really, truly impressive. Thank you.
