Re: Popular Problems - Second Impressions

I completely agree. Listened to the stream last week and was not impressed. The CD came today and opinion is completely different. It's a very deep record.

Re: A LC collector featured in "Record Collector"

Excellent little article. I know Gordon: a very nice guy. He lives near me. I don't know if he posts on the forum. I'll ask him sometime.

Re: Artur Jarosinski has passed away

This is terrible, terrible news. I have corresponded and traded recordings with Artur for many years. He was a light in the darkness. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Re: Leonard Cohen's Priests

Just a couple of thoughts. I have always loved this song since buying Wildflowers circa 1971, and I think that Judy Collins' version is simply beautiful. Leonard has stated at least twice that the reason he has never released his own recording is that he can't sing in a high enough register or key t...

Re: The Fall Tour 2009 in USA

Well, I'm really excited for everyone in the USA who will get to see these shows, but I'm more than a little concerned for Leonard's well-being. Leonard is already starting to tire, I saw him last week in Liverpool, and I really think AEG should quit adding dates now. Enough already. Maarten - that ...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Liverpool, July 14

The NME setlist is wrong. It omits Heart With No Companion which preceded Waiting For The Miracle. My sixth show of the 2008/2009 tours and the first time I had caught these two songs - Miracle was especially nice to hear. The only songs in the repertoire I have now not seen live are Avalanche and L...

Re: Please post setlists of the North America tour here!!!

This annotated setlist belonged to the guitar/bass guitar/harp technician in Leonard's road crew. "Upright" and "fretless" refer to Rossy Beck's instruments as required on specific songs. The technician has highlighted the songs when he needs to carry on a specific instrument and...

Re: "Leonard Cohen Live in London" - DVD & 2CD - April 2009

My copy of CD and DVD came this morning from HMV. I can confirm that the European dvd is also NTSC. Packaged in a slimline case, which is a little disappointing. This really should have been a double disc dvd package with extras. Still, I haven't watched a second of the dvd yet. Saving it for this e...

Thanks very much Hydriot. I checked out all those links. It's a relief to know that Leonard's archive was rescued and is safely stored.

Re: New Rolling Stone LC Interview

Thanks for posting this. The interviewer mentions Kelley Lynch taking "crates of his memorabilia" as well as money. I don't think this has been noted before. I hope these crates didn't include Leonard's personal library of studio and live recording tapes? That would be a crime against his ...

Hey, I got it too, I just spent half an hour saving the blessed thing and emailing it to Jarkko.

I think it's a draw :-)

Well, I don't mind sharing a table with all you guys as long as Leonard is there too :-) :-) :-)

Re: A Very Important Announcement # 2 Coming

Thanks very much indeed for that invaluable setlist information Vic. I have passed the information on to the appropriate archivists. I can't help wondering if the "loud song" might have been Diamonds In the Mine?

Enjoy tonight's show. Please post a few thoughts on it afterwards.

Re: A Very Important Announcement # 2 Coming

Hi Vic,

That Forest Hills Concert was july 25th 1970. The setlist isn't known to archivists.

Could you post here what you wrote in your little book please?

Thanks,
