Re: Bob Dylan Awarded Nobel Prize for Literature 2016

Bev It was my only intention to send a smile from Europe to Australia :) Gladly smiles can spread the globe as easily as any virus - and be as contagious. It´s a pitty we never met, dear Bev. For humans travelling is more complicated than for viruses and smiles. Harald Only from a height even higher...

Re: Bob Dylan Awarded Nobel Prize for Literature 2016

I am very sorry that I could only get hold of sparce fragments of the consultations by the Nobel committee leading to the prize for literature 2016: „The prize is no more valued as it was.“ „Only some elderly bibliophiles.“ „We lost the youth.“ „The youth don´t read anyway.“ „Pop music. The youth is...

Re: EVENT POSTPONED

Probably only previous organizers can imagine the amount of work, thoughts and nerves Maarten has already put in preparing for the event. I feel very sorry for you, Maarten, that you had to make this decision. There was no alternative. As for the future date for Ghent I think it best if a smaller gr...

Re: Event program - first band announced!

This is not intended to the ill ones who have all my empathy. This meant for the healthy ones dealing with quarantine and situation. Difficult times, I wrote. But we will not forget that what we now call difficult, being confined to our home, in excessive fear for our well being, avidly awaiting the...

These are difficult times for many of us. I´d like to wish you all health, dear friends. And this must be an especially hard time for our brave organizer of the Leonard Cohen Event. Dear Maarten, whatever you will have to decide, from holding the event to postponing it to cancelling it, you will hav...

Re: Leonard exhibition now in Copenhagen

I do not intend to organize anything like a meeting. But our small group of four Bavarian Cohenites will be in Copenhagen for the exhibition 2.4. - 6./7.4.2020. If anyone else will be there, might have a drink or a dinner together.

Re: Walking weekend in Yorkshire 2019

Friday. One by one, the guests arrive. Taxied to the hotel by Phil´s bestman, what a service. Saturday. Walk me to Wentworth, our steps will always rhyme. Garden center there, well, also the Woodhouse mansion. Some opted for white wine on the sunny terrace. More wine on the way back at the chuch. Su...

Re: I have a few questions I want to ask

Yes, welcome Celena. Quite an inventive introduction of yourself, compliments.
Somehow reminded me of Paul Auster. Are you Paul Auster?
Anyhow I happily accept your invitation and look forward to interesting discussions with Dylan, waaah.
Now what exactly were your few questions?
Sincerely, a friend.

Report Bordeaux 23.-25.3.2018

What happened one year ago: The small bunch of us lonesome or less lonesome heroes or lesser heroes gathered last spring in Toledo. Which only produced the wish to repeat the waltz. What happened: Babeth and Henri invited us and all the guests came in, Ann and Bea and Caren and Ciaran and Conny and ...

Re: Henning 60 y

Dear Henning
There is no virtue in getting older, no reason to be proud of being born.
But as there now nothing can be done about it, have party, let yourself be partied and may the party keep on all the year long, to which my wishes shall accompany you.
