Re: YOUR PHOTOS FOR OUR MOSAIC PROJECT

Hi everyone,
Just thought I would add my picture. It was taken the same day, same place as Mike's. It is really wonderful to put faces to names.

Re: The New Yorker article (Aug 24)

I'm okay with this article. I LOVE the photo. The conversational quality has a certain intimacy about it, a light quality rather than an enlightening one. I don't think we need to be be enlightened by everything we read. I enjoyed it.

Re: Leonard nominated for MOJO Best Live Act

Evie B, what is it about the name Evie? Are we all "grumpy old women?" In any event, I have to agree with you that it is just as well Leonard did not win, given the company he would be keeping.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful pictures! :D And Brightnow for the time lapse. I watched it several times. :D Those of you who were able to be there were fortunate indeed. What a spectacular venue!

Re: 75th birthday

I love this forum, and it never ceases to amaze me how a thread can go from laughter to thoughtful and back to laughter again. I was about to say "M-A-A-A-R-Y!!!! Whose side are you on anyway! ;-) Then I read your comment, Hydriot, and then yours, La Donna. Oh my yes, I agree with both ...

Re: 75th birthday

I really like your idea of a mosaic, Maarten. Are you volunteering to put it together? ;-) :D And I love the way you put it, Hydriot -- to give Leonard "a glimpse of the shadow of his reach." hmm, nice. Count me in. And count me out of the calendar girls! Leave that to the younger ...

Re: new review of Sharon Robinson's album

Donald, I was at the Beacon concert too, and the reason I wasn't breathing when Sharon sang Boogie Street, was because she completely took my breath away. I share Lizzie's sentiments, and also thank you for your wonderful review.

Gothowens, what an elegant, articulate defense of LC's presence in the moment! Yes! I am among those who have been inspired by Mr. Cohen's example of humility and his powerful ability to "be here now." Thank you.

Re: The Monkey and a plywood violin

Yes indeed, Fred, you ought to go on tour this summer. You will have such a blast hanging with the band and traveling to so many cool places. 8) And of course, don't forget to send us snaps. Mike says to tell you that your mom and aunties are being over protective. Just go.

You just MISSED him. He's having a GRAND time. Looks like he's found a lady friend too.

So good to know you are safe and sound, Fred. Enjoy the show!
