Fourth Row Center Orchestra Now at Ticketmaster
Pulling up Row D seats 101-103-105-107-109-111 if you've got a group of 6. They'll cost you $176/per + service charges but a heck of a lot cheaper than the $549 you would have paid for this IDENTICAL location on the two previous nights. Not will call restricted either. I have a feeling scalpers are ...

Additional seats released for Oakland
I'm pulling up row O orchestra for Monday and Row F orchestra center for Tuesday. You can get 6 seats together on the center aisle row G right now for Tuesday. Sure, it'll set you back $176/ticket but it's less than the VIP tickets were.

Oakland Ticket Report
It was very exciting pulling up front row Pit and second row Center Orchestra at yesterday's presale. Of course, I couldn't afford to buy extra tickets but it was VERY gratifying to see these seats made available to fans. I noticed yesterday that the VIP option was not available and indeed today, th...

Hanging AEG out to dry?
I think the answer to that one is pretty complex. But if AEG acted in violation of their contract with Mr. Cohen's management company, then there is a potential breach of contract action there. You'd think that these sales practices of offering inferior seats at a "presale" and then feigni...

Response to Megan2c2b
Colombo, your conclusion is not correct. Again, -- Robert Kory explained that this ticketing option had been offered and that he had declined on Leonard’s behalf. We also confirmed with Elliott Leflko at AEG that Mr. Kory declined. Not only that, Mr. Lefko explained that Mr. Kory has gone so far as...

A Nice Bit of Revisionist History
I echo the above sentiments that laud Mr. Cohen and his management for no longer participating in the TicketExchange/TicketMaster Marketplace/Platinum Seating mechanism whereby tickets were routed directly to the secondary market. Kudos. However, this *conveniently* overlooks the fact that he WAS pa...

Leonard Cohen and Ticketmaster
Walrus: I think you misunderstand this and other threads if you believe that everyone is simply "complaining about the ticket prices." What many of us are complaining about is the manipulation of the ticketing process to create an artificial scarcity, and the involvement of the principals ...

Leonard Cohen IS the Promoter
And he's scalping his own tickets! Ticketmaster is just the agent -- this would not happen without the express consent of AEG and by extension, the artist himself. The legal term is "respondeat superior", Let the Master Answer. Obviously, Leonard's contract with his promoter PERMITS this b...

Leonard Cohen, Scalpers, and Ticketmaster
The promoter sets the "convenience charge" as well. Ticketmaster splits the cut with the promoter and the retail outlet, if any.
Thanks Leonard! Thanks AEG! Sorry about your financial adviser ripping you off and all, but two wrongs don't....well, do they?

Leonard Cohen, Scalpers, and Ticketmaster
Hi Aaron. The problem is actually quite a bit more complex than Ticketmaster simply redirecting buyers to its own brokerage, TicketsNow. You see, what's happened for this tour is that the very best seats in the house have been retained by LC's promotion company for sale as "VIP" packages a...

Oakland 4/13 and 4/14
Look for a second show in Oakland to go on sale shortly after the first one sells out. There will be no presales for this second show, so if you are unsuccessful finding the seats of your dreams for the first show, I think your chances will be better for the second show. It is ironic that the only s...

Friends and family presale
"Friends and family" is a common term in the industry for seats held back for folks acquainted with someone in the production or the house crew. I'm not sure how it's working for the various locations, but FWIW, the presale passwords were identical for all of the fan club, AEG, and radio p...
