Re: Isle of Wight release (Oct 20) - all details

Holydove, was the showing you attended at Cinema Village crowded? I'm wondering about the likelihood of the movie's run being extended through next weekend.

Re: LC Songs Now in General Use

Same thing here... note the photo caption from this recent New York Times article. No mention of LC in the article, though.

Re: PRE-SALE INFORMATION

Thanks to this forum I was able to get a ticket for Section 3, Row S (19 rows back?), Seat 2 for MSG. I would suspect this would one seat in from the aisle between sections 2 and 3. Can anyone who's been to MSG confirm this for me? I'd love to know where I stand (or sit as the case may be). This wi...

Does this mean "I'm Your Man" and "The Future" didn't even make the charts?

Re: Are the concerts actually starting on time?

According to my cell phone, Leonard came onstage at 7:59 for the 8:00 pm Beacon Theatre show. I remember he was onstage right at 8:00 in Toronto, but there was a delay in Amsterdam.

Re: Songs from a life - San Diego Union-Tribune

"During his tours of Europe in 1970 and 1971, Cohen would invite as many audience members as could fit to come sit on stage. He would then select the most beautiful young woman close by and make out with her, while his band and the audience watched and waited. “He did that every night!” recalle...

Re: How did you do at the general sale to NY and LA?

I've had front row for one of my favorite bands there so I know the difference! I was in the loge for the Beacon show and it was a night to remember. (Belated thanks to Jarkko for arranging the Beacon presale - I tried in vain for 20+ minutes that morning when suddenly the 4 tickets I needed for my...

Re: subterranean pit seat blues

Hi Pomona - I was one who asked about the pit situation in another thread, but no one replied. No question the pit is covered and level with the rest of the orchestra. My concern was that you are so close to the stage that you have to crane your neck to see -- but it probably depends on the venue. A...

Re: Buying tickets to NYC is impossible.

Just checked out the ticketmaster "Marketplace" for the Radio City shows. It is shocking that one hour after the May 17 sale began these super expensive seats are posted. Maybe it's sour grapes on my part, as I'm not spending $1600+ for a pair of tickets, but I wonder if being in the first...

Waterbury is not sold out! Go to http://palacetheatrect.org/ for tickets. It looks like a great venue, and less than a 2-hour drive from NYC.

Re: Friday Night Concert/Observant Jew?

I was also puzzled when I read about the "observant" bit in the Times, knowing Leonard performs during the Sabbath. But then I remembered that there is a lot of latitude for those who are not ultra-Orthodox. I know some people observe the Sabbath by lighting Shabbos candles, but not doing ...

Re: New York 5/16 - Presale?

Hi! I'm new to the Forum but not to Leonard (NYC '85, '93 & '09; Toronto & Amsterdam '08)... Out of curiosity I checked a couple of online "brokers" and they are selling tickets for the Radio City Show. How could this be?
