Voyages

Since someone published a poem by T.S. Eliot (whom I loathe and hate) I thought I'd publish my favourite poem by his greatest rival: Harold Hart Crane, whom Harold Bloom called: "The Orphic Poet of America", and who was, in many ways, Eliot's antithesis. So, enjoy: Voyages I Above the fresh ruffles ...

Kubla Khan

This is one of my favourite poems. It was also the first poem I ever read (I encountered it in a Donald Duck magazine when I was thirteen) and it was therefore my introduction to the world of poetry, which I've never since have left. It is also the anthem of my and my friends' poetic society: P.O.E....

These two are my favourites: You who wish to conquer pain, you must learn what makes me kind; the crumbs of love that you offer me, they're the crumbs I've left behind. Your pain is no credential here, it's just the shadow, shadow of my wound. Some women wait for Jesus, and some women wait for Cain ...

I'm 20 years old and I have been a Cohen-fan since I was 17, when I discovered his music in Natural Born Killers.

A Shropshire Lad

Recently I've become very fond of the 20th century English poet Alfred Edward Housman, so I'm going to publish some poems from his most famous (and popular work) A Shropshire Lad : This is one of his most famous poems and most of you have probably encountered it previously. To an Athlete Dying Young...

I would like to see Leonard cover Lou Reed's album Berlin. It would be quite interesting.

And what on God's green earth makes you think you qualify as that? I mean: you insult people like a child for crying out loud! Maybe that's respectable in USA (or maybe just in San Fran :P ) but it sure isn't where I come from.

Since you are obviously an idiot and an even bigger asshole than Young dr. Freud (which I suppose explains why you live in San Fran) I'm going to walk you through this poem. Granted it's far from a masterpiece, but being a sonnet written in English by a 19-year old Swede in honour of his greatest id...

Welcome to the forum Aslak Touché, :D . And thank you. As for Bee's posts: I'm not going to fight you (since that is clearly what you want). Say what you will of my newfound enemy Young dr. Freud, at least he has some panache. You however, Bee, have none, and I seriously doubt you have even an abov...

Lizzy, most of the Russian words the young student has written in his school paper are spelled wrongly, he has not taken enough time to write them down properly. I did very much like the movie "Clockwork Orange ", perhaps the Swede has taken the inspiration from there, but certainly he has to have ...

The 70:s! What else?!

I mean SoLaH, NSftOC, and DoaLM! Sure the latter two are none of Leonard's greatest two but SoLaH contains 6 of his greatest songs.

Oh, is that so. You've insulted me quite a lot you know. Had you done so here in Sweden you would had have the crap beaten out of you a dozen times about now. But sure, let LaurieAK, run the thing, you ******* asshole. (and just in case so there are no mistake: the ******* does not refer to LaurieAK...
